[NFL] 2025-2026 Thread

So true and as a result Robert Saleh D maybe not as vaunted as HE thought and now we know.
Well, I’ll continue to stall out Robert Saleh.

It’s a remarkably untalented defense.

I don’t view it as that vaunted even with a healthy Bosa, Warner, and Williams. It’s a good defense healthy but not dominant like when Saleh was last here. Still, they were playing very good until Bosa went down, and then Warner a couple weeks later

You remove the only source of QB pressure or speed at linebacker..and you don’t address it at the deadline. The secondary already sucked. I don’t know what expectations you can have for them.

If anything, Saleh deserves credit for the defense not collapsing the whole season weeks ago and for their performance last week.

I think other teams looking for a coach will keep that in perspective too and Saleh will unfortunately be signed elsewhere before he can work with a healthy Niners D again

Thoughts on the first half.

-Don’t defer against the stronger defensive team when you’re playing with a 3rd string defense. You can’t risk giving them first crack and falling behind against a team that easily held you to 3 points just a couple of weeks ago.

-When you aren’t confident you can get 1 yard with a straight up run play twice because their front is too fast. Maybe don’t pitch it to the slowest skill player on the field to rush and then throw a lateral into a crowd.

That’s it. They’ve been reeling since the first 2 minutes of the game.

I think Brock is playing well under the circumstances

Brock passes it to the third string tight end who is somehow able to turn an easy catch into him getting bodied for an INT lol

Have a bunch of picks this summer and money to work with (especially with Aiyuk’s contract voided). The defensive coordinator search is going to be a big one but the Niners have their franchise QB and head coach which puts them in good position no matter what.

Niners need to reinvest in the trenches. Got away from that trading firsts for bust QB’s and high round picks on crappy kickers. Too much money going to wide outs.

Offensively they just need to revamp the run game but I think they don’t need to make any huge investments. I think Brock has proven he doesn’t need a dream team to run an effective offense, but the run game was bad all year.

Use CMC mainly as a receiver and secondary running back. He doesn’t have the burst of an RB1 anymore but still a highly valuable skill player on offense.

Didn’t think the Niners would win this game but did atleast expect a better showing

I hope the Rams make it out of NFC as I think they are the only team in the NFC that can beat Seattle
