I think that's a 1 step foward 1 step back kind of idea. No real reason to do something like that.

I think Franz is currently everything we hope Keegan will eventually become. Their games are different because Franz is a much better on-ball player and playmaker, but Keegan is a much better off-ball player.

Fun to talk about, but the likelihood of a trade is 0. I’m really not sure what Memphis could’ve offered. I wouldn’t even accept unprotected future 1st round picks if I’m Orlando.

I absolutely love Franz, but Keegan is a better fit with Fox and Domas, not to mention being an extra year away from an extension.

But if there were a way to pry him from Orlando to play with Keegan? THAT I'd be onboard with. But I don't see it as a realistic possibility.

This is a warning about overpaying for players in that non-efficiency range. The Warriors basically dumping Poole is quite interesting.

Exactly.

Just because you have space, doesn't mean overpaying to get/keep your guy is smart. If at all required, better to front load the contract.

Poole is talented but he seems like a knucklehead. He could average 23 points a game next year and still not have much impact on winning. Still, might be worth the risk since they don’t have any cornerstones in place.

Yeah, there's basically no reason to waive him since didn't like most of his salary get guaranteed already? Next year though, if not guaranteed we know what's up with this lol. The Warriors got out of that Poole deal quick and actually had to attach draft capital to do it hahaha.

i can’t think of any reason Orlando would want to trade him at all? Seems silly that Memphis would even think there is a chance.

That’s a crap ton of picks and pick swaps. The Suns are really going all-in. Beal’s is a very good player, but that contract is horrible and it seems like overkill with Booker/KD/Ayton

I'm a bit afraid to check this, but I think literally every Phoenix pick (1st and 2nd rounds) from now until the end of legal trading time is either 100% gone or encumbered in a swap. I think every single one.
