With Holmes we wait (for offer) and match.Imagine everyone doing this stupid stuff and the Kings sneak away with Holmes at 40 (now a steal despite my qualms with his game) and Oubre at the MLE.

Spurs trying to make up for not overpaying BertansHow McDermott and Zach Collins' contracts may look with 5% raises:
— Paul Garcia (@PaulGarciaNBA) August 3, 2021
McDermott
Y1: $13.5 mil
Y2: $14.2 mil
Y3: $14.8 mil
Collins
Y1: $7 mil
Y2: $7.4 mil
Y3: $7.7 mil
Man... We could be the Spurs. How do they just not max John Collins? And force ATL into that decision? Why screw around with paying a ton of money to 2 dudes who likely don't move the needle?
Evan Fournier, Duncan Robinson, Tim Hardaway Jr, Norm Powell, Gary Trent Jr all signing for $18m/yr ("a bledsoe") is price fixing

A healthy Porter, sure. He hasn't been healthy in a long timeWould rather have Porter than Oubre.
Ah crapno we don’t, he’s an UFA

Holmes has our offer and is hoping someone comes along and offers more.
Which is an interesting bet because once all those teams play out we don't have to give him the full early bird.
One thing with all the signings today with a handful of S&T deals they are mostly guys re-signing their guys to a huge raise, all using the normal salary provisions. Not seeing a lot of guys change hands on MLE or what have you. Whoever said the league is being sunk by GMs who were former agents and "cap wizards" is right. Not sure what kind of analytics Monte uses to go all defense but at least he is playing some kind of moneychess.
I'm told Kent Bazemore was offered more money from the Warriors than the Lakers. But Bazemore agreed to join the Lakers on a one-year deal because he views them as a title contender and is told he'll have a major role https://t.co/D5brxLKsbk

Baze buying into the name game I see.
Poor decision by Baze IMO. He’s definitely placing too much stock in overrated names.
The Warriors have names too. And if they are all healthy, they are better than the LAL.
Guess he forgot that GSW made 5 consecutive Finals appearances before major injury and covid struck. Yes, KD joined them for the final 3 appearances, but the core of Steph, Dray and Klay forged the 1st two and the historic 73 win campaign.
With the right role players and good health, GSW >>> LAL. That core has proved a helluva lot more over a much longer time period and also during full 82 game seasons.

This aged poorly.Do the Clippers still have their Mid level exception of around 7M or so? If they do, they could be a suiter for Richaun. He would be a good fit there as they could switch 1-5 and he would set good picks and hit his push shot.

Yep I’m glad it didThis aged poorly.
Still have our 9.7 million dollar MLE and that's pretty much it.I can't keep up with all these acronyms.
How much money do they have left to spend?
