Hopefully you all have better resources for celebrating it. I see zero events scheduled in our paper to celebrate it here this year. Last year there was one. I went to it and there were zero Chinese people-- all whites. I just found that to be sooooo wrong. That's like celebrating Passover without any Jewish people.

Calling around town has yielded a whopping one restaurant that is changing up the menu to celebrate, and I'm not going to be able to get in (way too many buffets here, and it's a barren landscape of Chinese places not setting a high barometer for quality). This bites. Maybe I'll buy some La Choy at the market and watch Chinese TV online to celebrate.
