thats what im talkin bout... baseball sucks!

meanwhile, for those of us faithful to the diamond...thus begins the long dreary march towards the opening of camps and the eternal optimism that comes with it.

Oh yeah...congratulations Sox. My sister went to school with Jermaine Dye, so goooooooooooooooooooooo Will C. Wood Wildcat alum!!

are the sox that good or was the mlb just plain weak this year. i mean i havent seen a team in baseball dominate teams that easily in the playoffs. the yankees were pretty amazing at times during their run- which is still continuing- but they had unbelievable talent.

The Sox were good, really good. They played with passion and as a TEAM. They had no superstars yet outscored their opponents 16-3 after the seventh inning in the playoffs. That is clutch. I tip my hats to them and to Guillen. I'm happy for them, I was a huge Frank Thomas and Ozzie Guillen fan back in my elementary school days.

p.s.-the astros bats went cold, very cold. they seemed to have the padres' "leave all the runners on base syndrome"

whatever happened to frank thomas??

Not really sure, I loved the Big Hurt.

I heard some blip today on ESPN that he may be returning to baseball, didn't hear in what manner though. I'm guessing it would be like what Guillen did, but I'm not sure.

the big hurt got hurt. he's had ankle issues for a while, i think he has surgery mid season. not sure what his status is for next season, if he's even coming back. the chisox are going to be spending a LOT of money on konerko if they keep him, it's doubtful he returns to the team ( everett is their DH now)

it's great to see him finally win a ring. and he won it where it all began, he didn't need to join some other team to do it.
