Mister Slim Says: In defiance of all probability, Sacramento has not yet been mathematically eliminated from the NBA Cup, even though it would require the most convoluted set of circumstances imaginable. Unless I'm mistaken, the Kings can get to Vegas if Oklahoma City and the gd lakers sweep, and the Spurs lose to the Trail Blazers by 30 or more but beat the Nuggets by 25 or more and the Grizzlies lose to the Pelicans by at least 11 but beat the Clippers by less than 3 and then the Kings beat the Suns and the Jazz by a combined margin of victory of at least 46 points.

Easy peasy,

The Suns, meanwhile, can all but punch their ticket to Vegas just by beating the Kings. So, get ready for a fight.

Re: the poll

I'm really, really, not much of a cake person. Whenever anybody asks me what kind of cake I like, my default answer is: "Pie. Preferably blackberry/boysenberry or strawberry (+/- rhubarb) or cherry, but apple or peach cobbler will do in a pinch." I will eat pie over cake 10 times out of 10.

And while I'd probably argue that several of the items called "cake" above don't fit into how I would strictly define "cake" (ice cream cake, cheesecake, and potentially fruitcake and carrot cake) I did answer based on the provided selections. I picked carrot cake, because on a full handful of occasions I have purchased carrot cake just to eat on my own and I actually can't recall ever purchasing any other kind of cake "just because". Sure, we've all bought something for a party or event, or we've had a plate of something shoved in our face, or we've been socially-pressured into getting dessert at a sit-down dinner (something I would never do on my own), but seeing as I actually bought carrot cake on purpose a couple of times, that must be the answer.

So will I, but that wasn't the question. :p

Check back March 14th, though.

Haven't had a slice of cake or a piece of pie in over 50 years. I have an acquired distaste for sweets. Will have a cookie in the rare case my blood glucose goes low. (diabetic)

Now to see if the "I'm almost outta here!/I'll show the league I can still go" positivity boost they've had lately continues. Probably.
We'll see. Doug Christie has pulled off small miracles before when this squad won 7 in a row after Mike brown was canned and no one on earth could have seen that coming. Ya know, until Fox and Clutch started panicking and looking for a way out because winning as a King would have been bad for the narrative after looking for homes in Texas a year prior.

With Schröder out, who will get more playing time? I am guessing Malik Monk, especially after the last outing. Nique Clifford and Keon Ellis may also see more time on the court.

I take that back: I'll take pineapple upside-down cake over pie 8 times out of 10. Any other kind of cake? Gimme the pie.
