Hopefully Deebo can give him some tips on how to get to the FT line more. He doesn't need to go 15 for 15 like DeMar did tonight but getting those FT attempts up to the 4-6 per game range needs to happen for Keegan to be a reliable #1 guy.
Shooting free throws like that, under pressure, that's a basketball player.

Last 2 matches (both wins as you all know) Kings shot 48/51 FTs 94.1%
The previous 16 matches they shot with 75%
We would be 27th in the NBA if not for the last 2 matches, now we are 23rd with 77.2%

I’d say Minnesota should trade for one of our guys but they’ve sorta hamstrung themselves with that Dillingham trade where they traded an unprotected pick (which we now own) and a pick swap to draft a dude who gave them absolutely nothing today.

Minnesota is at a phase of their progression where they simply need to get Edwards some more help and I think taking a stab at Morant would be a risky move but one that could pay off

On the one hand the BBIQ would be somewhere in the negative hundreds. On the other hand there would be some truly spectacular highlight reel plays

Agreed! Hell, even for him to be a #2 guy - whatever it takes. Kevin Martin took such a leap when he figured out how to get to the line and I see no reason why Keegan can't do something similar, even if he isn't that type of scorer.

Yeah, and it really doesn't matter if he's the #1 or the #2 or if it's 1A and 1B or maybe we get really lucky with the draft/trades/free agency and somehow he ends up being #3 -- the goal is the same either way. Some nights your #2 or #3 scorer needs to be your #1 so it's important to know that Keegan has that capability in him. Now if he's going to pour in 25 points every game then he's in #1 territory. It would take several strides for him to get there but I'm not ruling it out. I didn't think Fox was going to be a #1 guy until he was. The mental make-up is usually the most important factor in whether a player continues to improve or not and everything about Keegan's on-court demeanor and body language tells me that he is mentally strong.
