Mister Slim Says: Kings are 1-1 in the Keegan Murray era!

Sacramento limps back home after a brutal road trip to host their regular season finale versus the Timberwolves. The Kings haven't even played every team in their own division, yet, and they will have completed 65 percent of their schedule against the Northwest by Friday!

The big talk of the day hasn't really been about the game, but rather speculation about whether the Kings are finally ready to pull the trigger on a rebuild. This raises the question of whether Doug Christie will start to use different rotations and start to feature different players, or keep chugging along as he has been?

I voted for "2-3", though I suppose that is for a specific definition of "try".

I think the Kings should try to trade DeRozan, LaVine, and Schroder.

That said, there are three players on the squad (Saric, McDermott, Eubanks) that would not be in my plans but are not trade-worthy enough to "try" to trade them. Obviously these guys are welcome to be throw-ins or salary stuffers in any trade.

I do not think the Kings should try to trade Sabonis. I wouldn't cry foul about a Monk trade, but among the "big 3" SGs I think he is the one that makes the most sense to retain. For the time being I would hold on to Russ.

Keegan and Nique should be off the table. Keon and Raynaud should be treated as valuable - you'd better be getting back something good.

That leaves Carter and Precious. While I'd put them at a step below Keon and Raynaud in the valuation, they shouldn't be tossed away like we did with, say, Davion. Trade them with a purpose, or keep them.

Blow this bad boy up the right way (figuratively, not literally)...Trade 'em all!!! :p:p:p

Honestly, I would start with a handful (2-3), and then build off of those deals. Approach this methodically. No need to go all in right away, but definitely need to get to that point eventually.

I think only Nique/Maxime/Carter should be safe, primarily because of their rookie scale deals. Everyone else should be a conversation, including Keegan. I'm not even sure what a "can't say no" Keegan deal looks like, but he shouldn't be untouchable.

I feel the same way with 90% of this, except I’d move Sabonis now, if possible.

The further we get from the Beam Team season, the more his value goes down I fear. And it’s really hard to build a contender around him as your 5.

Get as much as we can for him and find a rim-protecting 5 with size.

I am not sure what to expect tonight. With the exception of Domantas Sabonis, both teams will be at full strength. In the last game, the Kings were down only one point going into the fourth quarter, then they collapsed. That was the game where Sabonis scored 35 points, but Minnesota scored 28 points on 40 free throws, and the Kings shot an abysmal 16/27.

Ant Edwards said this was his favorite building to play in right? Sucks for us lol hopefully that can influence him to join us in his prime or something

I voted for trading 2-3 players because i think that’s most realistic and i don’t necessarily crave a huge overhaul right this second anyhow. Simply trading DeMar and Dennis would make me a happy camper

Right when I think this team can't look much worse, my goodness this happens. I know it's my emotions speaking, but I'm done with Lavine. Send him to the bench. Staring at a ref while a ball is saved and fought over right in front of you is unthinkable...
