Sure would be nice to have Keegan guarding HB there. We miss Murray so much it's not even funny lol what a devastating loss that was before the preseason even ended

He had just had one of the worst looking drives to the basket that I've seen and turned the ball over, followed by multiple possessions of half hearted defensive effort. I really don't care about his mid range game and all that, I already know how gifted he is in that area. It's not all his fault this team has been awful and injured, but, he's also a constant reminder of how poor the fit was the second we signed him last season and everything went downhill. I don't hate him at all

He had one bad drive and is clearly outmatched at PF (frankly our whole team is getting out muscled by this Spurs team). I can't get all that mad at his defense when he's a SG being asked to defend bigs. The Kings have been misusing him since he got here. He should have been the backup 3 and Keegan's one-on-one sparring partner in practice. Those were the reasons to sign him. Not getting a real PF was a mistake by McNair and Perry decided to repeat it for some reason.

He's not effective defensively against any sized player. He's a good scorer though, if you're willing to let him take a lot of shots,....which takes shots away from players you're trying to develop

This game has been a microcosm of both why the Spurs needed Fox, and why he ultimately may not fit in San Antonio: they needed someone who could take over a game when Wembanyama and/or Castle can't go. But it's possible that he may also play his best ball when Wembanyama is not out there. I haven't been able to help but notice that, since Fox came back from injury, all of his assists aside from, like, five, were finding shooters on the perimeter. And four of those five went to players not named Victor Wembanyama.

He's old and slow, there's no disputing that. Where I get confused is that DeMar is constantly singled out for being a poor fit but the team actually played pretty well with him last year until the DeAaron Fox trade. Based on offensive and defensive ratings they were going to be in the playoff mix. Then they absolutely tanked the minute LaVine joined the squad but I still see way more criticism of DeMar than I do of Zach. LaVine was so lost defensively in this game that Doug benched him in the third quarter after he wandered into the paint and gave up a wide open three and he never called on him again.

This team is just bad, it doesn't matter who Doug puts on the floor. But I would rather watch a guy shooting 80% on his funky back em down and bank it in from 15 feet iso mid range island cook than five guys running around and jacking up threes. If it's effective than it's winning basketball and winning basketball is never ugly.

Now they won't play Keon, because they "have to" play the other guards and can only give him more minutes at the 3, where he's out weighed. This organization just can't get out of their own way

Deuce and Mo saying the same thing some others are saying: play the youngins more; it can't be any worse than what you're seeing from the vets in terms of W/L, and they can get development.

If one of the reasons behind getting some of these vets was to teach the youngins, it's getting to the point where they are teaching how not to play defense and how to become demoralized early in the game.
