Because the thing about Domas is that he’s psychologically committed to playing through as many injuries as he can because of his dad’s history.

If and when the Kings go young at least those players will just enjoy playing the game. Vets can't be tricked. Can't be fooled. They know what's up and who they're messing with considering what this organization is. A crop of young players that feel like they might be a part of the future have something to play for. This? Nothing. Gap year. Dangled left and right. It isn't a full on dumpster fire but it sure can get there if they try.

Carter had a positive On/Off last year and again this year (so far).

2024-25 = +3.9
2025-26 = +12.4

This is why starting this guy or that guy doesn't really matter. This is a cesspool of doubt right now. And at this point, there could be stretches where they look good, maybe even win a few games in a row but this probably isn't fixable. It is what it is. And that said, what's the top ceiling? Fox isn't much better than Zach but even with Fox this team wasn't anywhere near contention so what's the point?
