    [Grades] Grades v. Blazers 04/15/12

IT's per/36 numbers compare very favorably to Irvings and he takes about 5 less shots per game. We're talking about the first pick in the entire draft and the very last. This is a phenomenal story whether or not you're unnecessarily bringing the ROY conversation into it. Also, if your point is...

    Nocioni rips tyreke

I'd rather discipline Cousins between games. He takes himself out of games when he gets disciplined during games. I'd rather have him put up 18/12 with some bonehead plays than 12/4 while he pouts and plays 18m. Evans on the other hand is a man and can be treated like a man. His response to...

What stage of the rebuild process are we at?

    Denial or grief I think.

Early look at some 2012 freeagents:

I'm not going to bother looking it up, but I bet IT shoots up the list per/36. He's a bit of a gunner. I'm not convinced Evans, Thorton, and IT are a particularly complementary three guard rotation, but they are all very good guards deserving significant roles.

    Demarcus rips Blake Griffin

Uh. IT, Cisco, Jimmer, and Cousins ALL flop quite a bit.

Is Sacramento again in danger of losing the Kings?

More like a hundred dollars. The NBA and the City of Sacramento own more of the Kings as creditors than the Maloofs do.

Kings owners balk at paying costs for planning Sacramento arena

SI.com: Bottom line, how concerned should your fans in Sacramento be? Maloof: Not concerned. Not concerned. We're committed to this process. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, but we're fully committed to try to get it done. There's no other backup plan that we have right now. We're just...

Kings owners balk at paying costs for planning Sacramento arena

Let's be honest. It's an abusive relationship. If you're still sympathetic towards the Maloofs, AND you're a Kings fan; I think you're in denial.

Councilmember Kevin McCarty: Why I voted NO on arena plan...

A large majority of the citizens *aren't* for the arena.

    [Grades] Grades v. Hornets

I'd imagine Jack gets the PG position over IT, Tyreke slides over to SG where he belongs, and Ariza starts at SF. Thorton comes off the bench. In any case, that starting lineup isn't much better than our current lineup so the point is mostly moot.

    Would you? Reke for Rondo.

Rondo and Evans have similar trade value. I'd make the trade if Rondo was known to increase team chemistry AND if he can make free throws. He's known somewhat as a malcontent and he can't make free throws. I'll keep Evans, or trade him for someone else. I do love watching Rondo play though.

    Kings talking Tyreke trade???

Jimmer isn't even shooting 40% from the field. So far, he *has* been terrible shooting the basketball, excepting for 3pt shots.

    Maloof Appreciation Thread

This is where I disagree. I think the negotiations for the most part excluded the Maloofs. At the end, they were offered the option of accepting the conditions negotiated for them, or they could sell. I don't think either of us have fantastic evidence on our sides.

    Geoff Petrie

Prevailing wisdom was facepalm at the Salmons trade and not drafting for need with Jimmer. Pretty sure Leonard and Knight were consensus picks assuming Knight was available at that spot.

    Maloof Appreciation Thread

The Maloofs were forced into staying in Sac by the people and city government of Sacramento and the NBA as a business unit. I wouldn't normally rain on an appreciation thread, but these guys don't deserve appreciation since they were forced into the situation. Luckily, they're broke, so...

    Wilson Chandler

I know we made offers that players rejected, but that's why cap space is so valuable with restricted free agents.
  19. M

    Wilson Chandler

Out of the entire league, we really only have to worry about the Nuggets and Pacers getting Chandler if they want them. The Cavs have cap space too, but we've got more. If I'm the Kings, I offer a long term deal at about 8-9m per and force Denver to match it, or let us get him. I'm...
