Wilson Chandler

Sad but not the end of the world there. Theres still the upcoming draft.
True, but the only SF i'm high on is Gilchrist. I'm not too high on Barnes, at least for the kings. We have other needs/positions that we could draft but the gaping hole at SF needs to be addressed ASAP or this team is headed nowhere. Its a bit dramatic to say that one player can make that big of a difference but i honestly think with the right fit at SF we would be a MUCH better team.

Until he signs somewhere else i still hold out some hope. Money talks his agent might be bluffing to attempt to raise the bidding. Finding a deal to get Cisco off the books would be the next order of business if we can sign Chandler.

Out of the entire league, we really only have to worry about the Nuggets and Pacers getting Chandler if they want them. The Cavs have cap space too, but we've got more.

If I'm the Kings, I offer a long term deal at about 8-9m per and force Denver to match it, or let us get him.

I'm frustrated we have/had cap space and haven't utilized it intelligently. You don't have to overpay a guy, but you can force another team to pay more for their RFA than they want.

If we don't throw an offer at Chandler, we'd better throw an offer to Batum.

I can't believe we lost cap space last summer to Outlaw and Salmons. I might have picked up Outlaw, but the Salmons deal made me want to punch a wall.

to be fair, i do feel like we tried to use more cap space in the offseason but none of the players that we wanted didnt wanna come here, or had ridiculously high asking prices.

But i read that Toronto really wants Chandler and are trying to move some players in order to create cap space for him, and the hoopshype piece also said that Chandler and his agent were definitely considering toronto. If he is willing to go to Toronto for the right price, i dont see any way he wouldnt be interested in coming here. I mean, ANYWHERE IN CALIFORNIA > TORONTO. As long as the money is there, of course.

i heard he's in negotiations with 6 teams. If we arent one of those teams, i will be losing all my faith in the front office

I know we made offers that players rejected, but that's why cap space is so valuable with restricted free agents.

Chandler has until Thursday to sign with a team other than the Nuggets & after that can only play with the Denver until the 12/13 season. He as also ruled out signing a 1 year deal which might have been what the Raps offered.
