Artest Approves Trade: No word from Kings (merged)

He heard that from 20K fans for about 10 games this year. Its not a question of acceptance from the fans/managment/coaches/city--he had all that here. Its a question of acceptance from the voices in his head. As a Kings fan, I do hope it works out, as I will continue to watch every game they...

No word from Pacers after Artest meeting

Voices is correct. There are more than one RA.

Artest Approves Trade: No word from Kings (merged)

Best of luck to the Kings with Ron. I hope it works out better for him there than it did back here in Indy (assuming the Maloofs approve after talking with RA). Maybe a fresh start is what he needs. Keep your fingers crossed, your legs crossed, don't hold your breath, don't walk under a...

No word from Pacers after Artest meeting

Bird/Walsh apparently told Artest that he needed to cooperate in this process or they would suspend him without pay for the rest of the season.

Pacers want to talk to Artest; Stojakovic 'disrespected'

ESPN sportsradio here in Indy--950 am They do a sportsupdate every 30 minutes that lasts about 20 seconds and that is what the local guy said. I haven't seen anything else about it on Indystar.com though.

Pacers want to talk to Artest; Stojakovic 'disrespected'

local sports radio here in Indy just said they couldn't confirm Artest had the meeting this a.m. They indicated the meeting was now supposed to occur sometime today. They also indicated that Peja has now said "trade me to either Indiana or Chicago".

Indy article re Ron the nutter...

January 25, 2006 bob kravitz What's the deal here? Absurdity rules What? You thought getting rid of Ron Artest was going to be easy, a simple matter of handing him a one-way ticket out of town? What movie have you been watching these past couple of years? Here...

Pacers want to talk to Artest; Stojakovic 'disrespected'

Artest and his agent = the blind leading the blind (or in this case the crazy leading the crazy)

    Artest rejected the deal!?!?

you experienced one day with RA--we have had to deal with this type of psycho-babble for the last 2 years. "I want to take a month off to concertrate on my music career" "I'm not sorry I went into the stands to protect myself" "We are going to win the championship--I owe the team, the city...

    Artest rejected the deal!?!?

I wouldn't count on that. If Larry Bird and Donnie Walsh, and the ever-forgiving fans of Indianapolis, weren't enough to tame him and get him to be somewhat normal, I can't imagine any other place and combination of people would get RA over the "crazy" hump. Kings are my second favorite team...

    Grades v. Sixers 01/24

Been following the Kings all year (big Cisco fan from his Louisville days). I love the grading after each game and I have checked it out for the last month or so. Your grades are usually spot on as well. Keep up the good work.

    Pacers Digest Current Reactions

How about We (Pacers) give you RA, Granger, and Jackson, and we get Peja, Cisco and Bonzi. In fact, you don't have to give us anything if you promise to take RA and Jackson. They are a pair and shouldn't be seperated--so PLEASE take them both. I would be happy to have Cisco rather than...

We really dodged a bullet on this one!

Artest doesn't have standing to accept or decline a trade. Obviously the Kings don't want him if he doesn't want to come. While RA has been quoted as saying he doesn't want to come, then he says he isn't opposed to it--we do know the Kings said NO--which was the smart thing to do. The other...

Artest was in Indy as recently as Sunday night. I saw him and watched no one speak to him.

    Artest: "It's not that I don't want to play there . . .

Just be happy that he pulled (potentially, I know it isn't fact yet) his usual bonehead move BEFORE he came to your city and ruined your season. As a 1st year Kings fan (watch every game now that Cicso is there), the Kings are better off IMO without RA. At least now you have some idea--albeit...

    Welcome Ron Artest!!!!!!

How does everyone see RA being with the Kings affecting Adelmans rotations?? Specifically, how will it affect Cisco's PT/development??

How do you feel about the trade?

RA will like playing for the Kings--he will get more freedom. He didn't like that here in Indy--he wanted to be shooting and have the ball in his hands more. He fancies himself a point forward, but one who likes to shoot first, second, and third. He is an enigma, but should be a better fit in...

    Welcome Ron Artest!!!!!!

Sorry--didn't mean to be negative--just trying to add some insight. I do like RA--know him personally--he is a good guy and has terrific talent. I hope it all works out. I would certainly expect him to be on his best behavior. The defense is going to get considerably better. Kobe won't...
