    [Fanfare] Leader of the Pack

Bibby hasn't been too hot lately so nobody has the warm fuzzies. But I can appreciate this kind of stuff even though it doesn't fill up a stat sheet. Veterans aren't really required to help out youngsters as far as I know but it definately helps the team when it happens. To me its the...

    [Blankenship Blog] Poor Rook

I wonder what the duties that can't be mentioned in print were. I always like these funny articles even though sometimes it seems sort of evil, like kicking a dog to teach it to be tough. But handling some pressure and doing what you're told even when you don't want to is a great...

    Larry Bird is 50!!!

Can't argue with MJ, of all the players listed that I've seen he got the most out of his career. In his prime Bird was up there on that same higher level of brilliance though. To me Kareem (great player, don't get me wrong) makes this list mainly because he played until he was like 60 and kept...

Bibby Likely to Opt Out this Summer

He'd be trading his last two years (what, about 25 million) for that next contract. It doesn't seem to me like he could get a 5 yr 70 mill new deal. On the other hand, those "I can't believe he got that much" contracts get signed every year. I really like Bibby and what he brings to a team...

    The Clan of Lowered Expectations

Huh, weird, it never occurred to me that "Real fans can't actually hope their guys stink or stay injured" could be offensive to anyone. Maybe I overestimate people.

    Mistake to fire Adelman?

Couldn't agree more! Works for every coach with a ring too, there's usually a Bill Russell or Jordan or at least like a Tim Duncan or something. And of course once a coach gets one suddenly he's some genius or zen master. And yeah, typing that made me want to spit at the screen. Phil's a...

Kings Numbers: The Good The Bad The...

I keep seeing people hack on Muss' winning record but come on, he got hired by the Warriors when they were just an awful, horrible, bad team. And if I recall right, he got them playing better for awhile there before things went bad. So yeah, he's not that far from .500, I think thats pretty...

    Allen Iverson - MERGED

Huh...never liked his game really but like someone said, slashers are more valuable than ever right now. And I'm starting to consider Bibby as sort of a bloated contract hard-to-move guy. I haven't been feeling the magic lately. :) I'd do that straight up I think, don't see how it could...

    The Clan of Lowered Expectations

If they got healthy and settled into a coaching system there might be just enough talent on this team to sneak into the second round of playoffs. Maybe. But this team isn't deep enough to _not_ suck with injuries to starters. In the good days we had quality backups at many positions and...

    The Clan of Lowered Expectations

Evil! Pessimism is okay but 22 games!

    The Clan of Lowered Expectations

I'm totally in, in fact I can barely restrain myself from pointing out the logic of tanking for the lottery. :) The Kings had a nice little run of being in the elite. It was tons of fun even if we didn't get the prize. But then the fans get used to being good and get spoiled and they aren't...

    Mistake to fire Adelman?

Nah I don't really see it. Not willing to judge Muss based on an 8-9 team that isn't healthy and even if healthy I wouldnt expect them to be _much_ more than a .500 team. Bibby Artest and Miller have all been pretty lousy/injured. I liked Adelman and didn't really want him to go, and of...

USA TODAY: Kevin Martin: New King of Sacramento

Uhhhh....Kevin looks like Prince? Really? I can't see it but I'm sort of bad at faces. I mean I guess Prince makes sense in the boy-King sort of way, but thats a really, really bad NBA nickname. I'm hoping its a joke or someone made it up. Hate it. Brutally bad idea. What are we going...

    Post game thoughts 12/4

He's still got one of Webber's knees too. Its not playing much right now for the 20 million. We'd still miss the old Webber even if he never left. I'm more sad about the ones like gerald and hedo who might have been kept, but its all a series of judgement calls and then second-guesses...

Bee: Artest backpedals a bit on Friday's outburst

Seems like the Bibby comment just refers to the idea that we _need_ to run the offense through Artest. Someone had to be there asking him questions along those lines, its not like Mike called the Bee and said hey you know what. "Mike, Ron Artest says he needs more shots and the ball in his...

Bee: Artest not happy with role last night

I read this on another board but didn't hear it myself on the radio so maybe its wrong: But, if he didn't start one game and couldn't play the next because of the bad back, I'm still uneasy about him taking the coach to the media and sounding just like the indiana days. On the other hand this...

Bee: Artest not happy with role last night

Yeah.....eww. Probably not a good sign. Lot of reading between the lines to do here. My guess is the non-start for discipline set it off more than anything on the court. Lebron James don't miss a start for showing up late! It's tough to break in as a disciplinarian coach, harder than it is...

    Should Martin have been benched?

Well anyway, I think the best response and the professional thing to do is to take it out on the next guy who tries to guard him, so we'll see how that goes.

Kings defense: better than we think?

Per 100 possessions sounds better than per game to me, I always thought points given up per game was a "bad" stat for ignoring the obvious fact that some teams just play fast (more possessions) and some teams deliberately slow it down.

Bee: Martin puts rough game behind him

Wow, is it time for fire muss talks to begin already? Seems like just yesterday I was wishing Adelman would substitute players based on their actual play. Anyway, the way I see it, in that situation a coach can either leave a guy out there to struggle or yank him and let him think about...
