Attn: Bricklayer - Bill Simmons on "small-ball"

Dirk is not a monster in the middle. Dampier and Diop are playing because Duncan is a monster in the middle.but likelyy won't get a whiff of the floor if it ends up be a Suns - Mavs western conference finals because neither can punish the Suns at the offensive end. In the Cas - Pistons series Z...

    Jason Terry? Suspended 1 game...

Terry throwing straight rights to the family jewels. Mark is outraged. News at 10.

Attn: Bricklayer - Bill Simmons on "small-ball"

I agree with a fair amount of what Simmons said. You can't have the series of rules changes the NBA has introduced and not have it effect the way the games played. I'll say one thing, penetrating guards than can finish or find the open man are worth their weight in gold thes days.

Both teams played hard. Both teams played hard. Goodnight and God bless. :D

    spurs/mavs game 5

I haven't heard much blaming of the refs about the last game. Most fan outrage I've heard has been related to Jason Terry's gonadal pugilistics on Finley. What are you refering to?

    mavs/spurs game 4

The Spurs are a flawed team. They fell into the trap, if it is a trap, that the Lakers fell into of going with seasoned vets to milk the years they had Duncan in his prime. They passed on developing young talent. They got caught in a money bind of needing to resign Ginobili and Parker so they...

Mark Cuban fined for comments about refs

I would rather violators be fined, escalating fines for repeat offenders, the money from those fines be divided among the other teams and applied to an increase in the MLE offerings of those teams. That would shut Mark up in a hurry.

Mark Cuban fined for comments about refs

When players repeatedly commit violations at some point the punishment escalates with each offense. Maybe that needs to be put into ownership bylaws and that's the leash Cuban needs to be put on. As rich as he is I'm sure there is some monetary point where he'd get tired of violating the rules...

Mark Cuban fined for comments about refs

Cuban, when he purchased the Mavs, signed on to the rules that all owners are requested to abide by. One of those is not criticizing referees in a public forum, i.e., an internet blog. Cuban's latest indifference to the rules he agreed to abide by was that his organization showed a clip on...

    Dal-SA game 3

Don't want to nit pick foul for foul but it was certainly no more bogus than the one at the end that they called on Barry when Dirk lost the ball out of bounds. Ended up as more FTs for the Mavs, a two point and possible four point swing.

    Dal-SA game 3

I don't think anyone can argue that Dallas didn't win this game at the FT line, that's for sure. Duncan was the most pissed and vocal about bad reffing in the post-game interview that I've ever seen him. In fact I've never seen Duncan go off on the reffing after a game before but he sure did...

    Dal-SA game 3

Dallas scores 16 of their last 20 points at the free throw line. What are the chances Cuban writes another blog about the refs?

Marcos Bretón: No great player, no title, no coincidence

Which one of the Suns can you absolutely build a team around. Amare? Maybe if he returns to pre-injury level but even he, for his position, to date has not shown himself to be a rebounder or defender. Nash. Nash has two MVPs now but is he a guy you build a championship franchise around without...

Marcos Bretón: No great player, no title, no coincidence

So I guess yo're saying Kevin Garnett wll never make the HOF either, right? Or if Garnett gets a debilitating injury next season he won't make the HOF?

Mark Cuban fined for comments about refs

You are being far too kind to Cuban. You forgot the parrt about him also being a complete moron. One of the reasons the NBA uses a larger pool of referees is to avoid having the same referees show up repeatedly refereeing the same teams in a series. This is to avoid the passion and anger...
