According to a tweet by Scott Howard-Cooper this afternoon, "Omri Casspi likes the idea of a free-agent return to the Kings" among other options he has.

Checking out his past 4 years show all offensive stats declining. Not sure why but something is there we aren't aware of.

He is the ultimate hustle and movement guy, always moving without the ball, a good defender, had a good 3pt game until last year. Hmmm...... Might be a good SF bench candidate.

If he is willing to come cheap and come off the bench then yes, I wouldn't mind. However, Omri thinks very highly of himself and I am not sure if his ego would settle for coming off the bench and playing a lesser role than the last time he was here.

no way, tired of signing/trading for bottom the barrel SF's. Salmons, Outlaw, James Johnson. It's time to find a proven vet that fits our needs.

Have to agree with you. Though I liked Omri for his hustle and tenacity, he just didn't have the talent to be a good SF.

As we are going to be signing Evans and Cousins to big contracts, we need to get cheap with everyone else and I doubt if Omri would settle for cheap. Who knows? My interest at this point is for a real upgrade at SF and until that is satisfied, I can't focus on a backup.

Yeah I think that is the problem. Omri was failing out by the end of his tenure with us, and completely collapsed in Cleveland. But the noises coming out of Cleveland have seemed ot have been him being unhappy in his role despite his terrible play, and there's simply no way anybody is signing him as a starter at this point.

Good defender? Don't you remember that time when Tayshaun Prince just abused him for about 10 straight points? He really got humiliated.

I was a fan when he was here, I don't know what happened to him.. I remember him as that tough rookie who hit the timely three and had a rabid Jewish fanbase. Really, more than Donte or Cisco I thought he had the chance to be a quality rotational player in this league but his career fizzled out

I don't really want any more former Kings coming back, with the possible exception of Matt Barnes because of his tenacious defense.

dude gained weight in CLE and has not looked like he did the 1st year here. he thinks hes better than he is and probably would want a larger role in the offense than he would get.

He shot under 40% overall last season. Just over 30% from the three, and around 52% from the foul line. He doesn't rebound, and his defense is questionable at times. If he wants to play for the league mininum, then fine. Otherwise, I'll pass

Donte had a non guarantee deal with the Nets but had a ankle fracture. The Nets let him go. He ended up on Memphis' playoff roster. He didn't log any minutes though. He's a FA again this year.

Agreed!!! Cisco just started, in the playoffs, for a playoff caliber team! He brings leadership! Defense! A pretty sweet name! And he played the first 8 years of his career with us! Why not bring him back?
Because he is not a significant if any upgrade over Salmons? Don't get me wrong, Cisco brought a lot to the Kings with his personality but we need a better SF.

As a deep bench veteran and a leader, Cisco would be great to have around. He would not be a major minutes guy but someone he would be there for leadership and veteran presence. It helps that he is a decent defender and a good spot up shooter!

Unfortunately for Omri, those numbers just won't get you a contract in the NBA. Teams would rather take a chsnce on an undraftrd player than sign a guy like that after his 4th year.

That coupled with what he thinks is confidence but everybody else thinks is stubborn conceit... future looks cloudy. Could probably go back to Israel and do ok though.

Funny how he was one of the guys who were rumored not to like playing with Evans. Suddenly wasn't getting set up for wide open 3s and his numbers plummeted.

He might like the idea, but I absolutely don't - And I'm from Israel.

He doesn't belong in the NBA.

Don't want him near the Kings, he is not good enough on the court, and he also has a negative impact off the court imo.
