The Pelicans are a bit like the Kings with some obvious talent that is simply mismatched. Anderson as a stretch four and Davis as an athletic weakside shotblocker are both best paired with a low post scorer but as a tandem they just don't fit. No SF and an abundance of guards that don't mesh. I understand going after Tyreke simply because he's a talent and should pair well with Holiday in the backcourt but it still leaves them a glut of guards and some huge holes with no cap room and no 1st rounder next year to fix them. They can probably move Gordon and his contract but for cap relief rather than real talent.
Then again, there's really no point in analyzing other teams and how Tyreke fits. It doesn't matter what their motivations are or even what Tyreke's interest level is. All that really matters is what they offer him when Evans finally decides to sign an offer sheet. 4 years $50 million may end up being the contract the Kings have to say yea or nay to.
