CD again on twitter pushing the, Reke wants a change of scenery position.

I'd really like to know if he's keyed in by someone trustworthy within the organization, or just a random fan saying stupid **** in twitter.
I'd trust Evans' brother (who said Tyreke wants to be a King for life) rather than CD (who apparently has a source [how do we know it's trustable?] and says Tyreke wants to leave)...

Vasquez averaged 9 asts last season, in case you didn't know. I'm not trying to trade Reke but folks act like he's awful. LOL

This doesn't meet Reke won't meet with any teams. I fully expect him to go through the process and talk to teams

It's all PR stuff. Evans side saying he wants to stay is trying to push the bidders up higher. His agent leaking who he's could be talking to is trying to get the Kings to up the anti.

Are you referring to this:

Brett Poirier NBA ‏@BrettNBA 42m

I've learned that Tyreke Evans is "looking for a change of scenery." I think we all suspected that.

Retweeted by Carmichael Dave

I didn't see anything else recent from Dave about this. And I suspect the Brett Poirier source is most likely Dave's tweet. That's the problem with Twitter. Things go totally circular and get retweeted and the original source gets lost in the shuffle.

Didn't Dave actually tweet after the initial stuff that he had received a call from Evans' camp saying Tyreke definitely wants to stay in Sacramento?

As much as I appreciate Dave for his efforts in saving our team, I still think his ideas when it comes to actual sports are terrible.

League source confirm the Pelicans have a scheduled meeting with Sacramento Kings free agent SG Tyreke Evans just after 11 (CST) tonight.

So Reke either is or is not meeting with the Pelicans. I don't believe anyone this time of year. Yeah.

But don't dismiss Pelicans completely. What if they offered PG Greivis Vasquez in a sign-and-trade? Kings would have to listen, right?

Vasquez is 3 years older than Tyreke, less talented, and is not even at that great of a 3 point threat at .325 for a career average (.342 this past year). He is a better playmaker that's about it. Not worth the King's time in my opinion!

Source informs me that Tyreke Evans, will in fact meeting with New Orleans Pelicans tonight. One of as many as 10 teams #NBAKings

Uh, makes little sense with a Holiday/Gordon backcourt. My guess is this is posturing from Tellem to show PDA there is interest and we'll have to pay to bring Reke back. Nothing drives up the price like known competition.

But, those thinking Reke wouldn't have much interest have been lying to themselves all along.
Gordon isn't exactly a model of good health

Don't know who the original source is. All I know is CD is retweeting a point which is the opposite of his tweet a couple days ago about Reke wanting to stay.

I don't know CD's place in all this and I'm not sure he even has a place.

Edit: Wow, 10 teams.

That makes absolute no sense for Tyreke, at least here he is the clear best ball handling guard. With the Pelicans he would have to play SF to even start. I think Tyreke is staying, he hasn't done enough to think a team would overpay for him, i think he is comfortable here and he at least wants to see how the new regime will use him. I think here he still has a chance of being part of a "big 3" type situation.

Can anyone list teams that could realistically sign Evans to a big contract?

Dallas, Houston, Philly.. Atlanta and SA were also mentioned as teams possibly interested in Tyreke .. and now the Pelicans of course

So we have to fend off more than half the league for Tyreke? For those that don't believe in Tyreke Evans, there are apparently 17 NBA GMs that do. That tells you something! Even if he wants to leave we have leverage... we can match and/or do a sign and trade (I would of course prefer to keep him!)

David Aldridge @daldridgetnt 1m

As @ESPNSteinLine reported, Pelicans will meet with Tyreke Evans late tonight. Told they will have an offer sheet in hand--a big one.

I would be surprised if Tyreke accepted it. Take the offer and bring it to the next team and say "beat this".

Is it possible for us to offer him a contract before any other team, he signs, and it's a done-deal? on June 10th of course.
Yes, and I hope we have our number out there to him by 12:01.

Reke isn't at all one of the hot dog/glory hounds around the NBA that just wants to bask in all the flattery of being a free agent. If we throw out a strong number for him, I think we could short circuit things. Of course the danger is his agent then has a number to take around to every other team and say beat this.
