I'm surprised George met with him if he showed up unannounced. It just seems either rude of KJ or we don't have the complete story. Anyway, the two meeting alone or with one staffer seems to be the way to go. I think this makes it easier for George who isn't used to speaking in front of crowds and as much as I would like George to be uncomfortable in many fiendish ways, I think we want him calm and dealing with issues one by one. Resolving issues one by one would be wonderful also. I can think of many explanations for him blowing his stack in ambush interviews or in a presser even if called by himself. This is not his arena (pun intended) or perhaps domain is a better word for him to operate in. We want KJ and George to have a pleasant working relationship because the result could be wonderful for all.
I wonder if George is in such a horrible mood that he cannot see the great possibilities that lay before him - like the disbursement of money from the rich to the poor. That is not a small deal and seems to be something he forgot. There is also the issue of spending money to make money. I don't know exactly how money is divided up if a team makes the playoffs but it certainly can't be bad. The Kings are ramped up and ready to go into the playoffs if money was spent properly. We seem to be on the start of an era that could make the playoffs next year and start a string of playoff appearances that could go on a decade. That's worth money.
That of course assumes something that hasn't happened in a long time and that is the hiring of a competent coach and paying for good free agents, if possible, or maybe simply being sure we don't lose the talent we have.
Good luck to KJ and George. I am tired of my emotions being jerked back and forth.
