anybody here checks on our own Spencer Hawes being?
Looks like he cant even get minute3s on the sixers. Poor Spencer, had so many promises...

It's the whole mindset. Like he demonstrated and openly said last year, he thinks his place is not inside, not banging and getting rebounds. I think if we had a proper coach when we drafted him to really guide him and help him develop he'd materialise into the all-star we all envisioned. Sadly we had coaches that seemed fine with him standing around outside and just making backdoor passes to Kevin Martin. You play that way for a couple of years and soon you just forget how to play inside altogether.

Hawks and Hornets continue their win steaks. Very impressive win for the Hornets against the Heat, Paul didn't score much but he made all his teammates much better. What a crazy ending to that Suns/Griz game, I think in regulation that J. Rich tip in, if you look at the shot clock when he touched the ball didn't move as soon as he touched it, so I don't think he got it off in time, but that's just what I think. None the less, it was a very long game, but entertaining.

I'm disappointed in Wall's perfomance yesterday against the Knicks, had 8 or 9 TO's and they just went on a complete drought in the 4th quarter scoring only three points from the 7 min. mark. That's just pathetic, I don't credit New York's D because it's mediocre. I can't expect too much out of the young fella just yet, so I'll cut him some slack. He shouldn't of let Raymond Felton go off on him though, that was yuck! [end of rant]

I did watch a Sixers game the other night and wondered where he was... if he was hurt or something. He had his chance and I don't think not getting good coaching is the reason. He just isn't a banger and never will be and he intimated as much when he fawned all over his buddy Brockman saying he wish he had that in him. So did we Spence, so did we.

To say Wall has a bit of a turnover issue at this point in his career is like saying that babies crying in the middle of a movie are only kind of annoying.

He's young and he'll learn.

Oh I'm sure of it. Still, it's okay for me to point out that, is it not?

Hornets go to 6-0. Who would of thought of that one? They play very good defense, Paul/Okafor/Ariza/Green/Smith. Keep it rolling Nawlins, I like their team they are fun to watch for sure. Clippers choke the lead away again and Dallas loses at home to Denver.

He was always the best PG in the league, he just got hurt last year and that gave D. Will a good chance to keep winning games in Utah and wha not. CP3 is back and he is making a team that is just average into winners, how long this will last well that will be the interesting thing.

Wow, what the hell Portland? They've been playing pretty good up to this point, I was expecting a 10 point Laker win, not 20+. No further comment on this one, Portland will probably get em back in Oregon.

Lakers are even better than last year, and most of the elite west teams are slightly worse. Boston is the only team with a chance to beat them, and I'm thinking a finals rematch is pretty likely (Miami is hyped to death, but they have no frontcourt - sorry Bosh).

It irks me, not as a Kings fans, but as a fan of humanity. Lakers have the d-baggiest, most classless, jerks of a fanbase, and their team wins constantly. Its like a spoiled rich kid spitting on the world from the window of daddy's helicopter. I've never been the type to wish injury on anyone (not even Snaq back in the day), but it would serve Lakers fans right if Pau went down (nothing career ending, maybe some kinda break just as the playoffs come around).

The Lakers execution makes me drool in comparison to what we see with the Kings. They can even afford to play their rookies decent minutes, while we can't find time for our heralded SF of the future. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD

Aaron Brooks out 4-6 weeks. Major blow to the Rockets who are already struggling to begin the season, they had such high hopes with Yao's return. They always play hard though so I am sure they will win some games people don't expect them to win.

Regarding Gunks post about the West; I agree with you about that, it seems this year there is no body in the West that stands out besides the obvious choice in LA. OKC is struggling, Hornets are a regular season team and won't do much in the playoffs, Houston is injured and always are, Denver is just a high offensive team, Utah isn't all that impressive, same with the Mavs. When you look at the West there just isn't any competition for the Lakers, maybe...once Portland can get fully healthy with Oden/Pryzbilla back they could give the Lakers a run for their money, other than that, it's just smooth sailing til the Finals.

Boston does look very good, everybody is contributing to that team and they look strong as ever.

If Kendrick Perkins hadn't gone down, the Celts would have won last year...and with Glen Davis ballin' pretty decently, I think they can take down the Lakers this year too.

That is, if they can get past the Heat...

Oh trust me, I am pretty sure that they will get past the Heat. Orlando looked hella sluggish against the Heat so I can't take that into too much consideration but Orlando still is another team you have to beat inorder to get to the Lakers.

I look at both Big Baby and Perkins, and then ponder how good Cousins should be in a few years, and I think: very, very good.

The Grizz got their payback win today against the Suns, they should be 2-0 against them, but no shoulda coulda woulda's. Zach with a 20/20 game, bravo. Impressive win by Dallas over Boston, it was a good game and the Warriors at 5-2? Wow, that's something interesting for sure. How long can they keep this up.

Denver just got annihilated by the Pacers 144-113.

In the third quarter they scored 27pts...and got doubled up! Indy dropped 54 on them in one quarter.
