Dude sucks, plain and simply sucks! We got rid of how many young talents for this "airball after airball, ooooh...wait, that one actually hit the backboard" guy? He is the equivalent of Udoka from last year. Floats around on the team and shows up once in every 10 games to keep a roster spot but when the Kings really need him he acts like he plays for the other team.

Someone should just create a new thread:

"_________ needs to go"

We can just add a new player to it every day and we wouldn't need to see multiple threads for each player all over the board.

So every time a player has a bad game, he needs to go?

Head didn't even play that poorly. His outside shooting was horrid, but his defense and intensity were fine. I have no problem critiquing players and analyzing what is best for the team, but these "this player has to go" threads are rediculous at this point in the season.

He was terrible. He ran around sporadically playing greedy and stupid. Reminds me of Noc without the pesky defense. Thinks he is a super star.

What is it you always say? Let's try to keep things in perspective here. We are barely 6% through the season and already we have several people who "need to go". Head does not shy away from taking a shot, now that could be both good and bad, but there is no need to condemn him to Nocioni status after a couple games. I honestly like Head coming off the bench.

I just wonder why our sharpshooters don't ever seem to be sharpshooters. Our 3 point specialist airballs while Ron Artest looks like Stojakovic from 3.

His defense is fine, as he is full of energy and athletic so he can keep up with his man. His ball handling is fine, but he needs to slow down a bit and make some plays instead of just using all his energy running around the court as fast as he can. Similarly, his athleticism and energy has allowed him to take it to the hole going backdoor or a lay up which is good. His 3 point shot however is one of the worst ive seen. He jumps as high as he can into the air, while throwing his body forward as far as he could which is terrible, its not going to make a consistent or good shot at all as its too hard to control the shot when your body position is changing so rapidly.
I think he can be good for this team if he just learns to use his energy smartly.

Lets remember Head was the only one who managed to display some reasonable defense on Bryant, also, most of his shots were open, but he didn't stopped his movement before the jump shot, maybe he was overexcited, i don't know, but if he'll just take a second to position his feet properly on the ground before he shoots, then I think things will look a lot better..

He just needs to keep his 3PTA under 1 and then I don't particularly have aproblem with him. He looks decent when attacking the rim and defends well.

I mean check the games we played, almost everytime we made a run it was alot cause of his D.. so he got a little caught up in a televised game and had bad desicion making.. but he still practicly shut Kobe down and kept us in there.

I'm positive the coachs will/already did adress his shot selection and it will not happen again, but the guy can play D, and we need that.

He's a great pickup, better then what almost everybody expected including me, and i'm glad he's here.

Problem is, I think one of the main reasons we brought him in was for his 3 point shooting. What he needs to do is get his stroke back and take better outside shots.

Just curious, but how does a player show up every 10 games when we've only played 5 games?

You ignore the one thing he did do well. He played great defense on Kobe in that game and by the way, he was the only player on the Kings that did play good defense on Kobe. The only thing he was terrible at was his long distance shooting. Aparently he needs a high powered scope to find the basket. I seriously doubt he thinks of himself as a superstar. All he needs to do is check his bank account.

I mean, am I the only one who thought his so called defense on Kobe was pretty good because Kobe didn't wanna try that hard? I just got the impression that with the lakers holding that lead, that Kobe was just coasting.

i dont think he needs to go but i do think that donte should be infront of him on the depth chart. granted i havent seen dontes game this year, but i love his defense better than heads, and donte can hit treys better than head... hell i can

What happened to Head

Head was a good shooter in college. What the hell happened to him in the Pros. He can't shoot worth of s*&^t. Reminds me of Douby. Great shooter in college but blows in the pros.

Again a lot of it is shot selection. Not all, but a lot.

Poor shooting is one thing. A guy could just be slumping. But Head is playing like a complete idiot on offense. He looks like an out of control college kid (one of the reasons I am not a huge fan of the college game), except he's not a kid anymore. And that's not a slump thing. He can play in every game of the season, he can be given Reggie Miller's shooting gifts, and leaning off balance off the dribble threes with 16 seconds to go in the shot clock are still not going to be going in. He needs to have the ball taken out of his hands and be told "you go over there and stand still" by whoever has the ball at the moment.

I'm pretty the only person playing defense on Kobe Bryant when Luther head was on him was Kobe Bryant.. Luther Head is what.. 6'2 6'1? with a PG body, has terrible dribbling skills, cannot run an offense, looks constantly lost on offense, and his favorite shot is a pull up three pointer in transition... I'm pretty sure the minutes will be better given to Pooh Jeter who can actually handle the ball/distribute, and shoot, or why not move the minutes to Donte or Garcia

Let me get this straight. Now were going to do psychoanalysis on opposing players to determine whether our players did a good job on defense or not. Look, bottom line is that while he was guarding Kobe, he at least slowed Kobe down. Something no one else was able to do. Whereas Head is known for being a good defender and that was one of the major reasons he's on the team, can we at least give him credit for what he did right.

I wasn't any happier about his out of control three point shots anymore than you were. But I have to give him his due on the defensive side of the ball. I'd certainly be quicker with the hook if the wrong side of his brain takes control again.
