Quick confirmation from somebody listening on radio: Reke is alright right? He's jsut proved all he needed to prove in the opening minutes here and now we want to see if our scrubs can pull together and make a game of this?

Reke is ok. Coach apparently wants to see what he has with Jeter and Cisco. No Beno due to minor injury. Also, was mentioned that maybe Del Negro was upset over 29 pt loss in pre-season opener and decided to go with mostly starters to now lead Kings by 29...

Well I gotta tell you a game like this is filling me with confidence in our Pooh.

Whiny the Pooh is it? Lovely. Mid-third quarter and only down by 30. Now the Kings remarkable comback begins... er,,, well,,, Del Negro still remembers debacle at Chicago last season - haha!

pooh is playing like........pooh and the rest of the team has stepped right into it as well.
We can't see the game so its impossible to know, but these have been interesting results on two possible fronts, maybe three. First Pooh matched against a big backcourt (or at least one with nobody under 6'3" for him to hide on), and did not go well. Secondly, DeMarcus matched against a big frontline. And again, did not go well. Given the groundbound nature of his game slight red flag there. finally would just be Carl simply not being able to do anything for us, still. He got treated like he was in a prison shower in there by the Clippers frontline. Needs a breakout I'm still alive game in the worst way.

Very impressive work by all the SF candidates too. Methinks the team is going to be running laps tommorow. And more laps. And more laps. And more..

DMC also outrebounded Kaman, 3 to 2! (yay.)

Griffin is a beast. My goodness. In four years all the LA bandwagoners are gonna be rocking Clippers bumper stickers.

Yep, poor Donte. I just hope Westphal knows what he's doing.
I'm in the dark out here in the midwest, but it seems to me that coach is going to let this game:
- Buy some common understanding in the locker room by settling any questions about who our 'go to' option must be (and it ain't Caspi)
- Give DMC some realistic views of how far he still has to go in terms of skill & fitness
- Give the team a realistic look at where they are at, even though they have Reke DMC
- Measure up the prospects and provide all the reason he needs to cut those who aren't up for the job at this level

And he's doing it at the expense of not playing his best player in a meaningless game...Yup, I'd say he knows what he's doing. :)
