Poor kids... (Tyreke v. Elite 24)

That turnaround spin dribble is vicious...but it's probably a carry. I'm not sure he could get away with that in an NBA game.

That was just not nice Tyreke. :p

Some of those kids are probably so traumatized they're going to end up having to switch sports. I'm thinking maybe badminton.

Oh My! Just when there is a popular video clip of a high school kid Austin Rivers schooling John Wall in this same Elite 24 series, here you have Tyreke embarassing all of them!

Heh, just checking the comments out over at youtube, and internet viral buzz culture being what it is I think this clip might have more potential to make Evans popular than everything he did winning ROY last year. People seem to be shocked to learn he has a handle.

Brick, I said and noticed the same exact thing.

Some guy kept quibbling over the fact that tyreke had no ups and when someone would say that his game is built to play with handles, strength, and length to drive to the basket he was still obsessing over hops. Some peoples views on basketball are so bad it makes me sad sometimes.

Anyone know who #24 is that's defending him most of the time. Or, rather, failing at defending him most of the time. Looks like it might be Bradley Beal, but not sure.
Somebody in the comments said that's Deuce Bello, or was until Tyreke emasculated him in front of the world. Now he's going by Debbie. :p

Guy in the white sweats with his hand on top of his head when Tyreke unleashes that double crossover between his legs spin dribble from hell was Jay Williams.

I think my favorite part was where he just stepped back and drilled that long shot. If that's consistent this year, goodbye world.

Tyreke has one of the top 3 handles in the NBA. This video further supports it.

#24 will be having nightmares of Reke. The NBA guys are going to get it real soon also. Seriously everytime I watch his highlights, summer practices, videos such as this, our guy is really unstoppable going to the rim. LeBron has Tyreke's strength but doesn't have the same level of handles. Anyone that would have the same length and strength as Tyreke doesn't have his kind of handles. Its just amazing how good he will be. The jumpshot is coming along. Man... its gonna be unfair for anyone guarding Tyreke :D

I still don't understand how Tyreke does what he does. At times when he's driving it looks a magic trick. I'm going to move the mass of a man without looking like I moved him at all...vwallah!!

Other times it's like he's using a Jedi mind trick on them. *You will move out of my way"...*I will move out of your way....wait..what just happened?*

But Lebron can crab dribble.

"these aren't the droids your looking for"

Tyreke-Wan Kenobi makes me wonder the same thing, with a shot he will go from David Copperfield status to Houdini. This might just be my overly optimisitic side speaking, but I have a feeling Tyreke will show big strides this season, and he will be a lot better with his decision making. It was so frustrating watching him get collapsed on while trying to drive, and that there was virtually noone hitting the outside shot when Reke hit them.

I just thought I would add that if it was Deuce Bello, he was embarrasing one of the most athletic highschool players in the nation. Bello is a high flyer and is regarded as having tremendous defensive potential.. Hmmmm! It appears he's not quite ready for the big time.

I hope Bello becomes a star, because then I can push the "Deuce Bello: American Jell-O" nickname hard.

And yet, even with all that collapsing, and reluctance to pass out to guys who weren't hitting a high percentage, he still had one of the highest fg% from the paint in the league, and I think by far the highest among guards.

When watching, I was thinking, these youngsters, who likely dominate everyone in high school, know now just how hard it will be to make it in the NBA. Gives them a lot to focus their efforts on.

Fascinating... before actually looking at the video, or even the preview image, my first thought when reading comments about Evans abusing kids on the court was some kind of LeBron James day camp situation.

Only, unlike LeBron, Reke didn't get posterized and subsequently tried to cover it up.
