With the recent ankle injury, and 3 days of missed practice and scrimmage, it appears team USA will cut Tyreke Evans. He still remains in the plans for future Olympic and World Championship teams.

I'm sure Bricklayer is breathing a sigh of relief. Now Tyreke can get healthy, and focus on improving his game for the season. Sometimes when you lose, you win

Kings guard Tyreke Evans, the NBA's reigning Rookie of the Year, sprained his ankle and missed Team USA's final three practices and Saturday's game in Las Vegas. Evans said Friday that because of the injury he didn't expect to survive the team's impending cut and USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo appears to agree.
Colangelo said that Evans being cut is "pretty obvious."
"It was a bad break for him," Colangelo said of Evans. "He's a terrific kid. He's certainly part of our group and our team. We'll be looking at him down the road (in future summers) in all probability."
