Alright Doc. You and me, outside. We're gonna see about who gets to break this news in a gentlemanly manner. :D

Edit: This one can stay up, here's the sacbee link: http://www.sacbee.com/kings/story/2...&&mi_pluck_action=page_nav#Comments_Container
no harm no foul lol.

Mike Lamb is talking about this right now. He said he doesn't have definitive word. Grant will be getting details from the ownership within the next hour or two.

Mike said specifically we may haev some "real" "TANGIBLE" news about a new arena in the railyards.

HOLY CRAP!!

Well next to the "Downtown Depot" The southern part of the Railyards. A hop skip and jump from KCRA.

There will be a NBA Press Conference after the City will reveal all 7 Arena oppertunities at 5pm.

To know how much money that a swap would provide (if any) we will probably have to wait a couple of weeks.

This is insane. Cal Expo moves to Natomas, the City and the Kings get the railyards, current Cal Expo gets sold off to developers. Some foreign bank is salivating at the idea. This is massive, amazing.

Keep in mind this is not an approved proposal, just the one out of 7 the NBA is going to support. This is really good news and a great step forward, but we can't start planning the opening night festivities quite yet.

:)

Correct it's the one that the Mayor Johnson, and the NBA is backing with developers that seems to have tangible financing, at the the ideal spot for the city overall.

Yep only a "proposal", but it could move forward pretty quick.

This is a huge step in the right direction. I think it's ok for us to get excited about this.
Oh believe me...I'm incredibly excited about the whole process even getting to this point. I just wanted to make sure folks knew this wasn't the only proposal and it hasn't been formally accepted...yet.

I got all carried away and told those nitpickers on sacbee to move out of Sacramento. My comment seems to have disappeared :D.

Maybe I should listen to VF21 and lower my blood pressure by not looking at their comments.

I saw those comments. I swear that some people are going to nitpick no matter what. Private funding and people are still nitpicking...

Well, the nit pickers will always have nits to pick. Let them. I'd rather spend my time having fun at a new State Fair and new downtown arena. Beat picking nits any day.

I know its not done, but I am so excited! It looks like an alignment of the planets and stars may be happening right over Sacramento. City, developer with money, the NBA and Kings ownership maybe all can get behind a feasible plan! WOW!!!!!:D
