While I'm extremely happy about how this game went, I think Martin should've done a fake on that last shot... Oh well..

I didn't expect the Kings to play THIS good after such an embarassing display against the Thunder.

Good job Tyreke!!!!

We played hard, were tough, and never backed down. Can't always control shots going down, but I can't complain about this performance.

well what the hell are we supposed to say. our defense was overall phenomenal as was our rebounding. evans played amazingly. thompson and martin had really off days. they had a number of point blank shots that were missed. Well. i hope they use this game as a positive and build off of it.

I'm pretty happy with this game even with the loss - team showed toughness and rebounded well. We weren't blown out of the water, we made some mistakes a young team will make (just growing pains) and missed a lot of EASY shots.... Pretty good game

I saw some good things tonight. Evans is a beast. Remember, NO is a solid team and we're on a road. It sucks, but there is some good I'm taking from this.

It was an impressive game. However, I saw impressive games by the Kings last year and still watched them blow it time after time. As far as I'm concerned they blew this one in typical Kings fashion. Evans confirmed that he is a good player despite his first game performance and Brockman showed that he has a place in the league. Those are the only real positives I'm coming away with tonight.

I wish Martin didn't make such a dumb mistake late in the game when he didnt see the shotclock and got a 24 sec violation... That was pretty costly, and inexcusable for someone who's been in the league as long as Kevin.

But he played pretty well, so props to him too

Kevin Martin with that stupid play when we were up 3 with a minute left to play ended the game.
yah that one was greedy... evans was on fire and martin just held onto the ball for the whole shotclock..

whatever tho.. There was ALOT of improvement in tonights game.. Evans just gained alot of valuable exp. going up against the best PG in the league.. Brockman is the man. So many positives for the kings tonight,, just a heart brealking loss. Couldnt ask for any more except the W.

True. If JT and Kevin hit just 2 more shots each, which would still be well below their average, we probably walk out with a win.

I honestly see MANY more positives from this game than that.

Lots of ways we could have won this one, Martin shooting 9-29, Hawes shooting 1-6, and Brockman only 1-6 from the line. Still nice to see competition at the end.

I think this is the kind of loss you can learn from, nice to see the kids do well though I was hoping to see more Omri.

Someone really ought to tell the Hornets announcer that hornets are wasps and not bees :)

Well you could talk about the rebounding and the hustle, but we saw glimpses of that last season too. And at the end of last season the complaints were the same... its going to take a few more games of consistent rebounding, defense, and hustle like we witnessed tonight for me to consider it as "growth".

Way too negative. Thsi was a good game, with positive markers all over the place. A lot of hope can be drawn out of this one.

Offense still has no flow. I want to see more than Evans or Martin going one on five. Neither team played real defense, but Paul got better scoring situations than the Kings. The second quarter was the best looking offense of the night, with some post play. If I am Hawes, and I realize I've been pretty worthless so far, then I am making myself the Martin assist machine to get playing time. Kevin is going to continue to shoot poorly if he has to get his own shot.

I wish we would have pulled out the win, but only for confidence reasons. We got better in almost every area of the game. I have to believe Jason Thompson will not keep missing those gimmies in close. Still a little concerned about Spencer but Evans was the real deal tonight and thats the most important development IMO.

I won't give it its own thread, but I can see the day coming very soon when we say, "Tyreke Evans - Any Questions?"

I haven't curled up on my living room couch to just watch and enjoy a Kings game in a very long time. That was my plan for tonight. But, it wasn't very long before I was sitting closer to the screen, avidly watching the action and marveling at the potential (and yes, I usually don't like that word) of our very own Tyreke Evans. Wreak Havoc is right. He's gonna be sooooo much fun!!!

I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!
