I don't think so. For the most part, people who are active will still be active and people who are slow will still be slow. It's their life schedules that matter, and not the team IMHO.

BTW? KG4 is at work; she'll post her song when she gets home.

ok well can you go ahead and skip my turns and I'll do make-ups? I'm not worried about getting sniped really and I hate the thought of the board holding up because I happen to be at work.

So no need to pm me on my turn, and just go ahead and skip from kingzrool to VF21.

Thanks, Mark

Great pick Jerryaki!!!

Ok, my turn. No internet access at work or this would have been posted earlier... For my next selection I am going back to the 80's. How can you not love the awesome flute playing on this song!!! ;):D

I don't follow your logic and actually think this contradicts the whole draft thread concept, but it's your choice to make. You will be skipped for the rest of the draft. Once the final song of Round 24 has been posted, you will have 18 hours to make up your missing picks.

That's not what I meant at all.

I just meant (to help speed this up so the TDOS thread might possibly miraculously end by the end of TDOS) to treat me like you treat the guys with computer problems, I would probably pick in turn with no problem but was just trying to offer help.

I was not trying to make trouble but just trying to help out.

I would wager that my picks have been made faster, in turn, than anyone else in the game. In fact I will offer that wager to anyone who cares to take it.

Wow I'm so sorry it came off like some kind of PITA that was not what I had in mind.

Seems it would be better if I snooze away 18 hours per pick - less hassle that way.

Forget it - keep the rules in tact - sorry for the interruption.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh. I didn't have the slightest clue that was what you meant.

I think you're right. That's why my poor cold-addled brain was so bewildered when you made the comment above that I apparently totally misunderstood.

I'm sorry for any confusion.

And for those reading this and scratching their heads, there's nothing to see here. Move along...

:)

Picking my favorite song by this group is like picking my favorite Kings player. I can make a compelling case for a number of them. When it comes down to the island, though, I can only have one, and this one is their quintessential song if you ask me...

I was wondering about that, especially since I've posted my pick, started to send you the PM to tell you it's you turn and then see you've already posted by the time I send it...

;)

hmm, you draft in the spot where I'd be paying the least attention so I can see how I would not notice.

Congrats on a stellar performance. what was your average gap and mine?

My average gap is 50 minutes so far, yours is 2 hours and 22 minutes. VF is exaggerating, of course. I think it happened once that I saw her selection and set to work, and ended up posting before her PM came out; usually her PM was immediate. In addition to prompt PMs I have had the advantages of spending the majority of my workday at a computer, and being more of a night owl than VF, meaning I've never been on the clock overnight (I think you were once).

Anyway, it was an interesting exercise once you raised the question! :D

Computer problems aside, I think I should be up there somewhere too, probably in 3rd. Pretty good I think, since I'm on the other side of the continent

I was gonna save my Rage pick until the last round, but LPKingsFan has changed my mind (great pick btw, I'm a huge Rage fan). I picked my favorite Rage song last year, so here's another of my many favorites. Not gonna embed it, so I'll just provide the url

Hey June, why'd you have to come, why'd you have to come around so soon?
I wasn't ready for all this nature...
Honestly, of all the songs I've picked in the draft so far, this is the only one I'm 100% sure is in my top ten songs of all time. I don't think it really ever got much radio play, and I didn't know it until a few years after the album came out and a friend got me a copy that I was listening to in the car. About halfway through after half listening, I realized I was going to have to skip back to the beginning and listen to this one again. It was worth it. Big Dipper, by Cracker (released 1996).

Hmmm.... Very poetic. I will probably add this to my library. Pretty cool.

Yeah I was going back and forth between Guerrilla Radio and Bulls on Parade--both are great, can't go wrong either way. Nice pick.
