There is no topic

I am really disgusted right now. One of my friends on Facebook shared a video and as a parent it was beyond...words.

Since I will not post it here(it's a family site after all) here's a mental picture:

It involves a children's party, downright ranchy dancing, and adults who I'm sure knew better than to encourage it.

*Sigh*, I feel guilty posting on here all the time without being able to be a contributor. One day, I promise, I will sneak it in under my wife's nose.

No need for guilt feelings. We appreciate all our Contrubing Members but it's not a requirement. Now, having said that, we'll be glad to welcome you into the fold if and when the time comes... :)

Today me and my grandma and my great aunt went to the Korean/Chinese restaurant that our family has been going to since I was little. Being old school Korean, my grandma is very superstitious so she didn't like when she opened up her fortune cookie to find nothing. The owner gave us another set and when my grandma opened one up it was also empty. The owner brought one last cookie to her and when she opened it up it pretty much said, surprise.

Coffee Spill Costs Community College $200,000

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,552802,00.html?test=latestnews

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis is perking up with jokes about the $200,000 cup of coffee. But officials at a college and its insurance company aren't laughing.
St. Louis Community College
at Forest Park must foot the bill after a coffee maker rigged to a faucet and left on in a photo lab led to a ruptured water line in July. About 10,000 gallons of water spilled down four floors, damaging ceilings, walls, computers and files.
The St. Louis
Post-Dispatch reports the college's Board of Trustees will be asked to approve cleanup costs this week, including a $143,494 contract with a disaster-recovery company.
School officials hope the campus will be out only the $25,000 insurance deductible plus another $54,000 for miscellaneous expenses, including overtime costs.

Aggghhhh!! I got ripped off on eBay, seller took my money and closed his account that has been opened since 02 with good feedback. I'm too tired to do anything about it tonight. I paid through PayPal so I should have some protection even though the transfer has been completed. I'm new to eBay and this is one of my first experiences with the site. I was already having a messed up week this felt like a punch to the stomach.

I guess I should post this in it's own thread, but anyone have any advice besides filing complaints?

PayPal should have protection, but you should call and check first. EBay has rules for this sort of thing. Also depends on the $$$ in the transaction but you should do it ASAP.

On the off chance that someone besides me watched the premiere of "Modern Family" on ABC last night, was I the only one caught off-guard by the turn? I mean, I don't know if I missed something in the description of the show, or if I just have a blind spot to the obvious, but none of the teasers or trailers I saw for this show prepared me for the revelation that
Claire and Mitchell are Jay's kids.

Which should be fine for the concept for the show, but I was nonetheless slightly disappointed because
when I found out that Jay was on his second marriage, and that he already had grown children + grandchildren, I was kind of hoping that they would not be regular characters on the show, in order that they might have perhaps been portrayed by David Faustino and Christina Applegate.

You need to contact ebay too and soon.

I filed a complaint and escalated the claim on PayPal. If the seller doesn't respond with good reasoning PayPal will return my funds.

I want this person to pay for what they did. I know their name and possible web domain for a site they may own, but I can't do anything else about it.

The worst part about it is that they opened another eBay account with a very similar name and left feedback on it with their old account before closing it.

You need to make personal contact with someone at ebay and make sure they know about this. They do not take this kind of stuff lightly. Good luck.

Nickelodeon changed their logotype, the splat is gone but they give a small nod to it in the i. I see why they changed it since they wanted to simplify and modernize the type face, but I grew up on the 80's to 90's splat.

A 507 carat girl's best friend (just about actual size). South Africa: your wife will want to move there.:D

Did you also know that the atmospheres of Uranus and Neptune, with their high methane content and high pressure, are sufficient to create a rain of diamonds? It rains diamonds on Uranus ;). HA!

I was just signed into facebook and reading all the little comments from family and friends when suddenly a little chat box opened at the bottom. It was a "how are ya doing?" from my nephew, Rob.

So, here is my nephew, a staff sgt in the USAF, contacting me from the deserts in Afghanistan. How cool it that!!! :D

A Magic Eye image (autostereogram). I used to love these when I was a kid, and since I'm a bit of a science geek, I thought this one was neat.

Hint: Cross your eyes, then slowly uncross them to see the image. You can do it in less than a second with a little practice.

Here is a place you need to visit!

Munnerlyn's Ice Creamery

http://www.sacbee.com/117/story/217...ent_submitted&qwxq=4169437#Comments_Container

We went there last night and believe me, we will be going again! It is like a 45 mile drive for us, but the ice cream was GREAT! Delicious stuff. But they will be closing for certain days this month and I think they close for two months in the winter or something, so call ahead for hours if the drive is significant for you.
