Well the payroll based on hoopshype for Next season if we use team options for Spencer,JT, and Greene Looks like 41,320,000 for 9 players
If we sign Brockman for 2 yr rookie min, add 1mil, Next year 1st round, 3.8 mil, Next year 2nd round 1.2 mil and we have 12 players and total around 47.3 mil. So if cap is around 58 mil we would have a little over 10mil for a free agent
Roster:
C - Spencer
PF - JT,Brockman
SF - Nocioni, Cassipi, Greene
SG - Kevin, Garcia
PG - Tyreke, Beno
So depending on draft we oick up 2 Bigs and a point guard
Maybe 1st round - PG, 2nd Round Big, FA - Big
So I guess the question is can we get a better player by trading cap space (KT) than we can buy with 10 mil in Free agency.
Im not sure if we can get a starter for 10 mil next year that will be at a real high level? plus one that is willing to come to Sac?
A: We may be able to go above 10 mil in a trade by trading other players with KT, So we would need a team that is not a contender, looking to dump salary to get cap space, has an unhappy star (but not too old)
Thats a lot of ifs
B: The other alternative is to look for a contender team that will take Nocioni or Beno for expiring junk to get cap space to be a real player in FA
Good luck dumping Beno, but Nocioni could be a valuable backup to a contender.
If the right star does not come along by trade deadline, then look for a trade for Nocioni to boost cap space
