Thus far, every single one of your picks looks completely amazing. I can't wait to see what your final cast will look like.
Thanks! It's taking shape nicely so far. I think the "star power" is going to be dropping off somewhat which probably bodes well for me to get the remaining cast I'd like. I just hope that everybody else is as enthusiastic about my cast as you when it's all said and done!

Hello everybody.

Finally got some PC access for a minute. My next pick definitely help to explain how everything ties together, but if you can't figure out what Mel Brooks, Johnny Depp, and Britney Spears are doing together in a musical, well, I can't help you out. ;)

Thanks so far to 6th, and hopefully she's able to make my next pick successfully.

Thanks, Spike. I'm having fun with this even though I don't really know where you are going with this...although I have an idea. Hopefully, our next pick will still be on the board. :D

Ok I don't have time to do a write up, but will make my pick..

The Nation proudly presents..

Rachel McAdams.

Write up/description/role will come late tonight or early tomorrow.

Don't Make Me Use The Bat
The way people have been grabbing up their lead actresses I might, just maybe might, be able to get away with letting this one roll a couple of rounds while I focused on other threatened personnel. But the more I have thought about it the more I just can't think of anybody else who can be my lead actress in the comedy I have in mind, so I dare not wait.

I needed someone sweet, someone a little goofy, someone who was a proven box office star, someone who could give me some physical comedy and shocked reaction shots, and someone who could remain a tad innocent and loveable as my dark comic storm swarmed around her. So, my leading lady:

Drew Barrymore

A very young Drew BTW -- she will be playing 18.

My film needs chemistry to work...and I must have a lead actress who can work with Antonio Banderas without being overshadowed by him. I also need someone who has flaws, who can carry drama but not be adverse to a touch of humor. I absolutely had to have...

Sandra Bullock

Robert De Niro

I doubt I need to recount the memorable screen appearances of Bobby D. For those busybodies that must know what vintage De Niro I'm drafting, the following images are hints that it probably isn't the era of Meet The Parents. ;)

You're doing pretty good when you can nab DeNiro near the end of the third round, better yet when you can pair him wiht Brando, even if I do consider the Godfather series some of the most overrated tripe in the history of film. :p

Like most things I cheerfully blaspheme against I consider those movies to be something that you are brought up being taught you should like more than things that stand up to an independent I really don't give a damn what anybody else thinks review. Which of course my ego makes me uniquely qualified to deliver. :p

I can't believe Monty's ran off depsite being on the board when NME was picking, and despite my email.

Any objections to a ban? :p
My studio people will be speaking to your studio people...and all appropriate evidence will be collected on those participating in this hostile take over....as if the potmarks left in my draft board were not nearly enough...hrumph...

I'm betting she didn't vote for you for Global Emperor, either...did she, oh powerful one? (said in my best Jar-Jar voice...)

After events of yesterday (read: all you jerkfaces taking my people including you jerkfaces who took my people today) I had to reshuffle my 1st and 2nd choices for some characters and move a few people around

Supporting Actor....Kevin Spacey

Finally, my leading man (I never said it was Brando ;) ):

Jimmy Stewart

You know him as the consummate everyman:

He'll stand up for what's right in a world gone mad:

He's a man of honor and character, but you really don't want to push him too far:

Whew! Finally!

My next pick is my second male lead. Again, chemistry is a major issue here and this guy fits the bill perfectly. Forest Dweller Productions has just received confirmation that this gentleman will be joining our cast:

Brad Pitt

The Nation's official 3rd round selection,

Rachel McAdams

She will be a supporting actress in this one. She is a great when it comes to romance movies and she will fit in well with ours. We are proud to have her.
