Hey, look! We finally found a way to make Stockton appealing! ;)
Not really. Looks like the water would completely cover all of the older neighborhoods and the only parts of the city that have any chance of being charming. All it leaves are tons and tons of poorly built houses and multi-unit buildings from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

According to that, it would have to rise about 14 meters to start getting close to where I live. I'm all good! :p Fire up the coal plants, I want some beachfront property!

Sacramento -- speaking of places to buy up real estate...all of you still out in Sacramento, just hang on to what you have and wait for property values to skyrocket once you've got a front seat to Lake Sacramento once the Sacramento delta backfloods.
wait, i can't even see an area of water near sacramento. is the delta that area of water north of concord? it would flood all the way over to sacramento??? wow.

Ok, ok...who were the 3 who voted for Dick Motta?:D I voted for Phil Johnson, because he had a good team the first year we were here to build on, then Joe Axelson traded most of the heart and soul of that team away and got pretty much nothing in return...Larry Drew, Mike Woodson and Eddie Johnson were huge parts of that first Kings team and brought ALOT of skill and energy...and in return we got Derek Smith and Ed Pinkney. NOT cool! Axelson also gave up a lottery pick in that Smith trade too...horrible. Phil had the wool pulled out from under him and wasnt really given a fair chance in my mind.

No, the Delta is the area from (roughly) Sacramento to Tracy to Antioch.

See all those islands? They are mostly surrounded by levees made up of dredged sand and silt from the channels by farmers about 100 years ago. Not engineered. Not compacted. Not a nice clay core to prevent seepage.

One strong quake in the East Bay area and bye-bye.

You thought there was a lot of flooding in New Orleans? That would be nothing. Only plus here is that these areas are sparcely populated, however if these islands flood you have all kinds of environmental and water delivery problems throughout the area and for SoCal as well. They pump water out of the south end of the Delta.....and if saltwater is intruding in the area (which it would), all those pumps shut down.
