It was either this or a very long rant about the wisdom of playing Quincy Douby cold off the bench in the latter part of the fourth quarter in a game we could have won...

My favorite part? Jerry trying to convince himself and us Douby was in there as a defensive specialist. What a pile of horse dooty!!!

Fired? As mad as I am right now, I think he should be drawn and quartered at midcourt.

It feels like the FO and the coaches are not on the same page here. Why can't they just tell reggie play the youngster and who cares if we lose you're our guy? I feel like he's trying to do what they say but not really trusting their word and feels that he needs to win with the vets as hi form of job security.

But what the heck does he do? He creates retarded starting fives. He brings in douby who has no future with this team to take potential game winners only to hve airballs and bricks! This has happened multiple times too!

I don't know man I guess you can say I've excepted the losing but god knows that I'm praying that miller and salmons and Moore are only playing(for now) just to be showcased. We've got some really serious things to kink out of this team. Some postitions are clogged and others are either weak or slim. If miller and Moore and salmons are still here next year, I might just wait until this FO does something about it before I continue to follow this teams repeated unorthodox rebuild attempts.

It depends if we get a better coach because the past two decisions for coaches by Petrie are failures. Same bets to go with right not instead of theus which I would be satisfiedwith is Flip Saunders or Avery Johnson.

Yes on FIRE REGGIE THEUS

I'm sorry...I...I....I'm just at a loss for words right now. I know we've had injuries, I knew we're young, but this team should not be 5-15. Now, on tonight's game.

1. Why...why...why do you keep going to Quincy Douby in crunch time of close games? There was no sane reason on earth to put him in the game like he did tonight. The guy has not played(thankfully) much at all as of late, and not to mention any player would be cold off the bench. At this point, I don't blame Quincy, you can't blame him. If somebody gives you the opportunity, you take it. What does Reggie Theus know about Quincy Douby that we don't? Shouldn't you learn from past experience?

2. Reggie Theus does not know how to manage this team on the court. His random rotations keep the Kings from establishing any kind of rythm with the same five on the floor. He just throws players out and hopes that it will work. Why would you only play Jason Thompson 3 minutes and then take him out?

3. Beno Udrih. What happened to you? Was the Beno of last year only after the mulit-million dollar contract you recieved? When your PG turns it over so much, many of those times unforced, it makes it very hard for your team to make up for those things.

4. Bobby Jackson. I like you man but if your shot isn't falling, look elsewhere.

5. Brad Miller. Move! Show some energy and hustle out there, it looks like he's completely out of the game at times. Made some careless turnovers.

the last two coaches were NOT Petrie's decision. In both instances, it was the Maloofs who pulled the trigger on the deals. If rumors are to be believed, Petrie preferred Brian Shaw over Reggie, as did many people here.

Quincy Douby is done. He has had too many oppurtunities to redeem himself but he is finished. no more playing time for him. If Reggie puts him anymore, that is despicable. Give time to other young ones that deserve the playing time.

I think an established coach should wait a few seasons. Like Reggie those guys are probably going to be more worried about the W/L numbers then the youth movement.

Best case situation is an in organisation guy is willing to take the role on the grounds that he MUST develop the youth.

We can get our Avery once we're pushing for the playoffs again.

My vote went from "Not ready to call for his dismissal," to "Leaning towards yes!"

I mean, seriously, talk about taking a huge momentum boost (benching mikki, starting Spence, Kmart back) and STILL finding a way to ruin it (Douby's sub, JT's minutes).

unless he can somehow changes his coaching style, comes up with a real defensive and offensive strategy, and develop the rookies the right way by utilizing their strengths I want him out! 20 games into the season and still clueless, that exit door looks like its getting closer for reggie theus.

the question i keep asking myself is.....

why does theus keep playing quincy douby when the management already decided not to pick up his option like sheldens too.... weird..

quincy douby tonite was unacceptable. absolutely unacceptable the only thing more unacceptable would be to bring out kenny

The Quncy decision was dubious at best. Liked the Spencer start but Reggie can't claim credit for that--he was clearly forced to do so after this weekend's "meeting" or whatever. Thompson didn't really show much in his minutes so no beef there, although I thought Reggie yanked him early in the 2nd when Jason was about to get some momentum.

I was going to start a thread about this but figured it might as well fit here:

In recent memory, our plays coming out of time outs have been terrible. Are the plays bad? Or the execution? Both?

we all are fans and reggie is supposed to be and except but come on douby in crunch time, also beno needs to sit more he can't defend turns over the ball way to much bobby brown has shown when he's in the game he can drive to the hoop shoot the jumper and run the team but reggie still sticks to over the hill bjax and beno the 54 mil blunder. us fans can coach better the reggie fire em and hire somebody that knows what there doing.

Muss and Theus definately have one thing in common, they got to coach a real crappy team. Theus did a slightly better job.
This coaching gig is about the worst in the NBA right now. Seems to me like we need to sucker a vetern coach to come in here right now, and use his wisdom to train up these youngersters. Reggie isn't horrible in my opinion. I still don;t think he was a good hire. While he isn't the right fit, I don't think the Maloof really need to put a third head coach on salary for this year.

i got to disagree with you on the worst in the nba we have decent players no way in hell we make playoffs but if we had the right coach who has a system we would be a decent team reggie dosn't have a system and it shows and thats why he should be canned
