Well it was a nice Halloween prank where 12 bums put on Kings uniforms and went into arena to play the Heat. There were also other people dressed up as fans just sitting around quietly. Anyways Kings did not waste time in the new season to start a losing streak that has potential of doubling up with 2 more road games in Orlando and Philadelphia. This was the last chance of this season to get to .500.

Kings are definitely going in the right direction losing to yet another sucky team. Chances for a high pick look as good as they did in a decade.

I am continuing with my redundancy about a purpose of a training camp. What the hell is it for. I have done teams sports and I went to training camps with 7-8 new players, new coach in a sport where 11 people have to work together. After a month of training - we knew what we are supposed to do, we knew who does what and the system while wasn't perfect - there was structure. I knew what my teammates liked and what they don't on the pitch. And we only practiced 3 times a week for couple hours. Maybe because we did it for fun and no compensation. Just because we loved to compete and hated to lose. After that - You win some - You lose some but a team never quits - ever.

After watching this humiliation it feels like about 2 centuries ago we had a great team in Sacramento. A special team that was not allowed to win and team that had everything but luck. Now - 2 centuries later - we don't even have a team. It is an embarrassment when only player who left it all on the floor is a rookie. It shows no coaching, no leadership, no desire.

Firing Theus right now would be just as pathetic as hiring him or hiring Muss. We need losses and he can deliver those. On the other hand You have guys like JVG on the market. We need a coach as teacher and as authority. Theus does neither. He does dress well though. When this season is over - Theus has to go. This mostly isn't his fault but he seems to be unable to help players improve or the team improve. Man as senile as Hubbie is right now - he would do a better job.

Well Mr. Martin - You got the money and the team and now what ??? Playing bad is one thing. Missing shots happens. Not putting any effort and quiting - unacceptable. Whatever he worked on over the summer did not involve defense. He will look good against the teams that won't take us seriously enough to defend. Against everyone else he will turn back to pumpkin. Sounds all too familiar. Some players are really good and effective and they reach certain level but they just can not be "the man." It is not in their nature. Hence when they are put in such situation - it might go wrong. A franchise player id hungry on both end of the floor every night. Just look at Wade tonight.

2 games in this Sisyphean nightmare that we have gotten ourselves into - I am impressed with Mr Thompson. Kid "bought" me with the effort and attitude. We might have a really good one here. I would start him right now and let him even foul out every night if that is what it takes. He is right now with 2 career games much better than the stone handed scarecrow that is currently occupying th PF spot.

The MLE crap has got to stop. Those players are usually most overpayed players in the NBA. We have Beno, Mikki and Salmons making more money than James Posey who actually earned his contract. We are digging ourselves a hole. Playing one good season these days seems to be enough for us. Are we turning into Knicks of the Western conference ?

What do You say about a game that included 45 minutes of garbage time. Kings did not show up despite "coach" deciding to spend one day less in Miami. I don't even remember the last time we won there. D Wade showed everyone how do deal with garbage teams tonight. We had 25 turnovers and 29 FGs just because Heat didn't defend the last quarter. Heat is not a good defending team by any means. We scored 38 points with 15 minutes left in the game. Even below pick up team standards.

And - yes - they need someone to make them feel good about themselves. We already made 2 home openers a success and Orland is going for a make up exam and if there is one opponent perfectly suited for that honor - that would be us. We can't play much worse but we need to play much much better to even be competitive. It is pretty simple tomorrow. We will lose another one hopefully with better effort

Mikki - 8 pts and 0 rebounds followed by 4 pts and 2 rebounds tonight. I would have to conclude that his focus was on rebounding tonight and the scoring suffered because of that.
