You need defense more than offense. All offense does is allow you to trade baskets for the rest of the game and still lose.

I'm not saying that had they played Webber, they would have won. I just disagree with the notion that they needed defense so McDyess gets the minutes. I think Webber could have given them the extra dimension needed on offense to get some easy buckets, maybe get to the rim instead of shooting three-pointers, and then the game takes on a different complexion. Of course, the time that Webber was in the game, he didn't do much of anything, but it's not surprising to me that the two games the Pistons shot poorly are the two games Webber's action was severely limited in the second half.
