I don't know why this is getting such rave reviews. We went because it was the only thing we thought the baby would tolerate well. She did, slept through it mostly, sang along a little bit with one song. Our neighbors thought it was very cute.
It wasn't bad, just entirely pointless and forgettable. The best part was seeing Eddie Murphy in a serious (but funny) role as an egocentric James Brown type.

Blood Diamond and Children of Men were both great movies (referring to posts above) As much as I did not like Dicaprio, after The Departed and Blood Diamond I have a lot more respect for his acting abilities. Guy is awesome.
Last movie I watched was Crank. Not a film that will get oscars but... it was a very very fast paced film. Very entertaining.... however buyer be-ware, Very graphic.. to the point I prolly wouldn't watch it with my wife. NO KidS for sure!!!

I watched that one for the second time tonight. Not an Oscar winner by a long shot -- tons of flaws from top to bottom. But, is super fun, doesn't take itself too seriously, and is so unabashed in its violence, misogyny and exploitation that you kind of just have to go along with it. It would be flat out hated by... at least 75% of the people I know, but hugely entertaining for those that like that type of movie.
I don't often go to movies, so I rent them where I can watch them at home with my closed caption turned on.
I just got finished watching "The Hurricane" with Denzel Washington. Let me just say that Denzel Washington has been a favorite actor of mine for many years. His talent is incredible. The movie was well done, and Denzel does another fantastic acting job. I loved this movie.

finally saw little miss sunshine. i had been wanting to see it for a long time, and i got it for christmas on dvd. excellent movie. hands down one of the best of 2006. check it out if you haven't seen it. every character in that movie is money. it never misses a beat, and its hilarious to boot!
