what was the last movie you watched?

Dave Chapelles Block Party

This was a great watch, I chose the version with more music which is what I would recommend. Some footage of Erika Badu, Dead Prez, Most Def, a Fugi's reunion, Kanye West and Jill ??. My wife saw Dave on Oprah and it turns out that he is not crazy after all, just trying to cope in a crazy industry with a higher level of integrity than most. Go figure  .

Red Dust with Hilary Swank (I believe before she did Million Dollar Baby)

It's a rather sad story about what happened after Apartheid ended in South Africa. She plays a lawyer who came back to her homeland from America.

Made me cry

Step Up... definitely worth it... for anyone.. its very very good.. and touching.. words can't describe ti ! I love it ! Im gonna definitely see it again! Channing Tatum makes it great!

'frogs'

HORRIBLE B-movie starring sam elliott (of big lebowski fame. he played the sasparilla-drinking stranger).

don't watch this movie unless you are in excellent company who can enjoy making fun of really bad movies while eating really good ice cream together.

I finally watched Walk the Line having never seen it and owning the DVD since the first week it was out and promising my better half that we'd watch it soon for months. Mostly enjoyed it although I think we both were a little uneasy with the subject of two attached people falling in love despite the fact that we both really loved and admired the both of them.

Yep loved Little Miss... Also caught The Illusionist... good film, great acting but Little Miss is the only impressive thing I have seen in 06.

I should go see Little Miss Sunshine before the local theatre remembers that they don't DO little films.

The last movie I watched was The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. I thought it was very good. It dragged in a few places, but was overall pretty effective.

I loved 3 Burials!!! Tommy Lee Jones was great. FYI he is currently working with the Coen Brothers making the film version of No Country For Old Men.

They should make a good pairing.

Although, I was VERY disappointed with that last two Coen Bros. films, so hopefully this one will get them back on track.

Agreed. "O' Brother Where Art Thou?" was their last decent film. However, they have made two of my all time favourites. "The Big Lebowski" and "Fargo."
Miller's Crossing was quite good too.

I'm hoping they get back on track as well.

Watched part of 'Arthur' on AMC yesterday afternoon. I hadn't seen that one since I was a kid. What a sweet, funny movie. And I love the theme song!

I just finished watching "Goal! The dream begins." It's a quiet little movie about soccer. Typical fare but it's the first "feel good" soccer movie I can recall.

i watched mean machine last night with some friends. its basically the british version of the longest yard. vinnie jones plays a famous football (soccer) player jailed for assault, and then who goes on to captain the prisoner's team in the epic inmates vs. guards showdown. good film. better than either version of the longest yard. not necessarily a "feel good movie," but the end left ya feeling pretty happy. :)

The Black Dahlia.

Bad.

Really, really bad.

About halfway through, as I was analyzing the hell out of every shot and paying very little attention to the convoluted/forced twists and turns of the plot, I realized that the only way it could have been saved would have been to play it for laughs.
