I heard on KHTK this morning that there is a group here in Sacramento with a website called People United. They are a group against taxation and the new arena. I only heard it talked about briefly but supposedly they are holding a press conference together.
Phantom suggested starting a group called Fans United. A guy called up and offered to set up a website. Some of the admins/mods from this board should contact Phantom and become representatives for this group. All you need is a few main reps to get notariety yourself and try to get the press to notice youi. So, that the other side can be heard on this issue.
It seems to me that in the US the squeaky wheel always gets the grease, and always gets heard. And, the one's that put enough into getting heard are usually the extremists. That's what I fear with this People United group. Extremist views on negatives of a new arena and taxation that would come with it. And all in all there views can't be very logical or forward thinking, because if you're thinking logically or forward thinking there is nothing negative about the new arena.
Anyway, just wanted to put that info out there. I don't know what the website is for People United, but FP said he was sick to his stomach after taking a look around and reading the propoganda.
I'm ver passionate about getting the arena deal done as many of you are. I am willing to put in whatever time and effort needed for support. I'm a pretty good public speaker, so if it come's down to rally and you need someone to get people fired up I'm there.
