That's not entirely impossible given our fascination with Amundson. BUt hopefully not. In any case Louis did well too, he's jsut nto a shotblocker.
Beg to differ. Lou blocked more shots thann Williams and anyone else in the 3 games I watched. Lout has a 6-11 reach and a 36" vertical. In the raptor game I counted 4 clear blocks and several more in a crowd. And he did it to PGs on the perimeter and PF and C's in the paint. As a white guy he is an enigma but he is for real.

wait a min he went from a 35" vertical to a 40" vertical in 3 days. He is getting better every day. If we keep him until the start of the season he could dunk over the statue of liberty. Louis averaged 1.3 blocked shots in college he had a good game or 2 in summer league hell Brad Miller blocked 4 shots in one game with us this year. Williams is a little more consistant with it. I do think however Amundson's hustle is going to go over big with EM

hey i just noticed something. Remember when we traded our 2nd round pick to the Bobcats for Hart. Turns out draftexpress had the Bobcats taking Amundson with that pick at #50. That is kind of ironic i thought

Lou has been measured having a 40" verticle while at UNLV....during the NBA workouts they measured him at 36".... There's no question that he's athletic. More athletic than the board favorite Justin Williams. Williams is longer, but Lou is more active and more athletic.

The article in the Bee says Brooks will coach the first 3 games. I'm assuming maybe Musselman coaches the last two.
Head coaches are not allowed by league rules to coach summer league teams. So doubt Mussleman will do last two. More likely one of the other assistants. I saw Musselman leave the arena with his little girl in tow just before Friday's game and we did not see him in the arena at all for Sunday's game.

Musselman was definitly at the game on friday. I sat next to him courtside. He had his little kid running around the court and telling Scott Brooks who to run at which position. He called Kmart over a couple times to tell him to keep his arms out on defense. Complained to ref about the abundance of foul calls and also talked to Joe about possibly signing Amundson which they did the next day. Joe thought it was a good idea to have another John Berry/Bobby Jackson type player and Musselman liked him because he doesn't need the ball in his hand to impact the game.

Some nice comments from one observer on Lou:

By Brian Windhorst

• One of the crowd favorites at UNLV this week has been Louis Amundson, a 6-foot-9 power forward who went undrafted after playing for the Runnin' Rebels. He played well at the predraft camp, which earned him a slew of individual workouts leading up to the draft.

The Kings picked him up for a $75,000 guarantee and it is looking like money well spent. In four games, he's been a non-stop bruiser, averaging 11.8 points, 8.3 rebounds and shooting 75 percent. He's already assured himself an invite to training camp, and word around here is he's got an excellent chance of making Sacto's roster.

Fun stuff with the kid, and love reading that last line....
