The Warriors giving up anything of value for a 35 year old seems like a bad idea. Especially with that contract situation. Hopefully they do though, lol.
I think they should probably do it. They have a 3 year window at most to win another chip with Curry as the centerpiece. Kerr doesn’t trust Kuminga so if it just costs him, Wiggins and one pick they will probably pull the trigger. The other option is to wait and see if the Sixers implode and try to get Paul George, but his health is a much bigger question mark than Jimmy’s. The only other option would be to hope LeBron opts out this offseason and signs a low dollar contract with them but I don’t see that happening.

Got an article saying herb jones would be good fit for kings. Not sure what that does to the starting lineup but he and Keon played together at Bama
Not sure what a deal would look like for Herb without Keegan involved, but I'd be pay a contract +2 FRP if they were willing to sell. He's that good defensively.

Assuming the Heat don’t have a random declining Brad Beal fetish (dude still has a no trade clause btw), what do the Suns possibly have left that the Heat would want that they would actually be willing to move in a trade without violating their second apron rules?
I know second apron teams can’t combine salary to match in trades but in Beals case they have enough salary to match without doing so. I wonder if they can still add Dunn to the trade? They literally just have him and 3 seconds to move. No way that is the best offer out there for Miami. They can play a bit of hard ball here because no contenders have enough cap space this next offseason. If he wants his money he is either going to need to get traded now or do a sign and trade in the offseason.

Only 3 more days until Jonas Valanciunas is eligible to be traded.
he’s not an ideal fit given his defense but there is no question he would bring much better offense and toughness and the obvious connection with Domas. The question is what is his value? The Lakers are the team most linked to him but I don’t think they can give up a first rounder given the state of their team. What do we swing the Wizards way? I don’t know if they would want Kev given they are looking to get way younger and they already have Kispert in a similar role. We just have 3 seconds to move, not sure that gets it done. They better not do something stupid and include Keon in a deal like that.

I like him as a big body off the bench. He's also another Kings killer who is probably going to end up on one of our rivals for those top 6 playoff seeds if we don't find a way to trade for him. Jonas' salary (just $9.9M this season) likely rules out Kevin ($16.8M) as the main piece. Washington is going to want expiring contracts and draft picks I would think. It seems like the trade would have to be Trey Lyles ($8M expiring) + 1 of these $2M guys (Robinson/Len/Doug/JMac) + whatever draft picks are needed to entice them.

That Valanciunas contract is so good though that it may actually be worth throwing in a future first for him. We would have a solid backup for the next 3 years at way below market value and we'd still have Kevin to use as our main weapon off the bench or as another trade chip.

I could probably be talked into it. We might have the best 48 minutes at center in the league if we did. I might try to get a second rounder coming back our way if that’s the case. If you could move Kev and 4 seconds to the Nets for DFS you would have:

Fox High Fryer
Monk Keon
Deebo
Keegan DFS
Domas Jonas

that’s a really good 9 man rotation

We've gotten pretty lucky Domas has been an iron man the last 3 seasons, but if he goes down, this whole ship goes down. It's be really nice to have a backup like Jonas actually capable of taking 15+ MPG to lessen the workload on Domas. Thst almost seems necessary at this point to help alleviate any future Domas injuries just because he's like top 3 in minutes over thr last few seasons

Thomas Bryant traded to the Pacers. That’s one less team that needs a back up center. It’s possible that Miami was the one approaching Indiana to free up roster space for a Butler trade but I’m guessing they don’t do this if they were hoping to land Time Lord or Val

Capt. Sez: Probably not interesting, but unclogging it from the news feed in case anybody wants to see it. Gist: Kings have inquired into DFS, Cam Johnson, Kuzma, are willing to trade Huerter/Lyles. Well SMAACMS.

This season has not gone to plan thus far for the Sacramento Kings. After acquiring DeMar DeRozan in a sign-and-trade from the Chicago Bulls in the offseason to pair him alongside De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento was built to be a top team in the Western Conference. Instead, the Kings sit 12th in the West with a 13-13 record. Sacramento has shown improvement over the past few weeks as they have won three consecutive games.

If you bring in Kuzma or Cam is Monk going back to the bench? We have been playing better lately and the chemistry of this lineup has been growing, we want to mess with that now? Who is in the closing lineup? If Monk or Kuz are not, how is that going to fly? Also a two for one deal still leaves us pretty thin depth wise. If you start Cam or Kuz your bench is Monk, Keon, Len or Jones and eventually Carter?

For as cold as I have always been on Kuzma, he is having a miserable year so far, so I'm going to call bringing in Kuzma a "mistake".

Cam is shooting the lights out and if you bring him in you've got a full-sized wing that just makes our rotation that much bigger. I dunno, make Monk happy and have Cam come off the bench for ~30 minutes a night, adjust the closing lineup based on who's hot that game and matchups. Right now we have at least 6 guys who think they should be starting (Huerter being odd man out). It's a decent problem to have. Keeps everybody hungry.

I saw some of the articles, it really sounded like one of those "were interested at one point" kind of tones. There was smoke on draft night the Kings were in talks until Carter dropped. That looked to have killed both deals. I highly doubt the Kings are interested in moving future picks considering they possibly could have done that and still keep the pick that night.

Monk is starting for the next handful of games they can’t go back especially for Kuzma that’s absurd. You’re taking a chance on Kuzma being the bench scorer and he’d bring size with him. Can if they talked to Monk can start but I doubt Cam has a problem being a sixth man he’s been a team guy. I doubt Cam think Cal would be in closing lineups though or should you’d need his elite shooting and defense/size vs teams while fox and DD score

This is another reason why we should go after DFS over Cam Johnson. With Johnson’s salary, we’re forced to swap to rotation players (Huerter and Lyles) for 1. Going after DFS allows us to keep a guy like Lyles as another rotational piece (or use Lyles in another trade to further upgrade the bench).

I mean I’d say Cam’s got average size/length (not good size/length) for a SF but he’s not addressing our glaring weakness that has persisted for a few years now (a long, athletic PF who can defend and space the floor).

Johnson has a 8’7” standing reach and a 6’10” wingspan while weighing 205 lbs. That’s not PF size/length. Sure he’s bigger than Huerter so that helps, but again, he’s not really going to move the needle for us if we’re asking him to defend guys like Aaron Gordon. I see someone like Gordon having his way with him just like he did with DeRozan (8’6.5” standing reach and a 6’9” wingspan while weighing 211 lbs) this past game.
