[NBA] 2024 Free Agency mega-thread

Domas deciding to sign his extension BEFORE getting named to the All-NBA team for a second year in a row saved the Kings a LOT of money
That's why Hali getting an All-NBA nod actually made him a lot of money but cost the Pacers a whole lot of money and precious cap space to improve the team. TBH, it makes no sense these contracts handed out these days.

Mavs not a good signing, worse than the Spurs ..... 3-years $50M dollars, for a player who probably won't make it through year 1 with his injury history. And give some 2nd Rd picks and a decent bench player on top of it.. Warriors are back in lottery next year.

a player like Tatum getting $300 million is just the start. Won't be long before Luka is in the $400-500 million range. makes currency look incredibly pointless as if its monopoly but that's for another subject. I like PG teaming up with Embiid, he clearly wants 4 years plus the chance to play with an MVP that will make the East absolutely wonderful to watch come Playoff time, barring any major star injuries.

The max is based on % of the cap. The cap will be going up 10% each year for a few years with the new TV contract.

Guys , how the hell the two biggest contracts in the NBA are both for Boston players ….
They don’t have salary limits as the “normal” teams ….

The majority ownership group for the Celtics just announced that they plan to sell the team. So apparently they're just lighting money on fire on their way out the door with Tatum and White's new deals . . .

And don’t forget Brown from last year …
I read that about the majority ownership but the deal is supposed to be finalised in 2028 if happens at all so ….
All 3 contracts will be finishing then
