2023 NBA Draft Omega Thread

Shams says this year’s Warriors pick isn’t included. (Plus they technically can’t trade this year’s pick yet thanks to them not having their pick next year)
That's a straight salary dump... wow. I actually like Poole and I think he'll have a resurgence in Washington. imagine him getting the green light.. might not result in a lot of wins, but it'd be fun.

Jesus Christ. They couldn’t have just waited to bring in cP3 once the Wizards inevitably cut him?
They might have been scared that he might go somewhere else.

It also allows them to get out of Poole's salary for 3 years. They might seriously be looking at life beyond the Curry era. Their recent picks have mostly been duds, Draymond has opted out, and there is a chance he might not be back (trading away Poole might help him return :) ). Klay played well, but he too will see his production go down over the years.

Poole is being paid almost Fox level money. Will make a restart easier.

That Poole/Tyus backcourt might be fun to watch. Now they just need to dump Monte Morris and Delon.

The issue here is that they just traded some of their future picks to execute said salary dump.

Wow that Cp3 deal. I love that for WASH.

Gives Poole every chance to be the lead-ball handler, rehab his value potentially and he's probably not good enough that he doesn't keep them from bottoming out like they want. Also, puts Tyus directly on the trade block for more assets.
