It's an intrigue balance, you don't want to see Fox keep insisting if he misses a few in a row when the rest of our shooters are open. And the Warriors are intended to make Fox choose to give it up more or at least insist on taking a bad shot. That also applied to Sabonis, at least a few times where they baited him into going at it alone.
I agree, if he's not on you don't want him gobbling but it's not just taking the shot, it's always attacking. He was looking to get his teammates involved over making a play when it was time for mean and selfish De'Aaron to come out and play because things open up off of that.

+/- is such a weird statistic. I still look at it even though I feel it’s a debunked stat. Sometimes I look at it and say “well that makes sense, you saw it” but then you see bad game Kevin Huerter lead the team at +14 and Davion Mitchell at -15 and wonder why they keep it in the box score

On a positive note, I want to give props to the KINGS getting Keegan Murray some good looks this time around and props to the Keegster for making them.

I’ve contended that Coach Brown and the KINGS hadn’t done enough to get him open looks and that I’d rather see #13 getting the same looks Kevin Huerter has been getting then see what happens.

Well, I don’t think any of us were disappointed with the result. Keegan showed out today. This stage is far from being too big for him. He just needs to opportunities. Standing him in the corner all game isn’t gonna get it done.

If the KINGS find themselves in the same last shot situation they were in today again, I hope they involve Keegan or Monk as the other option for De’Aaron.

Why are the east Coast teams playing later than us?
maybe 12:30/3:30ET Sunday is a better rating slot than Sunday night?

Kings-Warriors have been by far the highest rated first round series in years for the NBA so it got a better(and the ABC) time slot for national.

Otherwise they would’ve had the Knicks/Cavs in that time slot I believe and Celtics/Hawks at 10 if Kings/Warriors was business as usual ratings wise. It isn’t.

Yeah it's iffy for sure. In a game of runs like this you'll get wild swings. Huerter was simply on the floor at the right moments.

Getting Keegan going and getting some confidence in him may just prove to be the thing that gets us over the hump if we do indeed win this series. It should also help Kevin and Domas, I noticed Domas despite not having a great game by his standards was getting closer to double digit assists today. I am not sure if the fact he didn't do so great in the rebound department may mean he is still feeling effects of the stomp. I do like that we come home on extended rest but the series goes one night off for games 6 and 7. I do think that plays to our favor.

Sabonis defense is liability sometimes and overhelp sometimes. Remember that one play where Poole received the ball from one end of the court and drove right pass Sabonis for a layup...that's inexcusable...Poole should have no chance of making that layup....while 3 Kings and not a Warriors near the basket. Mike Brown had to call a time out.

Monk contested >>> HB wide open for this game IMO. Monk LIVES for this stuff
Feels like this debate is extreme arm chair quarterbacking. Barnes got a great look. He hasn’t been on this series but he’s percentage wise over the course of the year a better three point shooter than monk. Fox had to make a split second decision. If anything I guess I would have preferred fox just attack the middle straight away without taking any clock on the possession.

I was surprised he didn't see or go to Monk because of how close they are but I didn't have a problem with Barnes getting the shot, but I wish they could have gotten in for a 2 pointer when down one.

This might be the most optimistic take I've seen from you.

I guess I can see a way for them to forcefully put us against the Dubs again, but Christmas is reserved for King James... haha
I never said y'all would get one of the two ABC Christmas games; you're not getting that, unless you make it to the conference finals... You'll probably get the 22:30 Eastern ESPN game that's usually reserved for the Clippers.

Just got to take care of home court. Kings can beat these guys…or they can lose.

Kings once again didn’t win the board and didn’t force enough turnovers. They need to against these guys otherwise it difficult. Warriors getting to the line more is also major. I know Domas isn’t playing well, but it’s pitiful that he couldn’t get a single whistle tonight. I don’t think he got one. Barnes and Monk also couldn’t get a call.

Fox, Keegan, Davion were great.

Lyles and Len were solid.

Barnes rough shooting night overall. He took a bad shot but it didn’t end up hurting the Kings but I didn’t mind that last shot. One because he had to take it but two because it was a good shot.

Monk was great and terrible depending on the moment.

Huerter non existent.

Domas was bad. Stand by, I have a long winded Domas post coming.
If Kings went on and lose the series, they should upgrade Barnes and Huerter. That's the ONLY positions that they can upgrade to take them to another level. There is a ceiling in Barnes game and he had maxed out imo. His individual defense is not overwhelming anybody and at time suspicious because he can be soft at imposing his will. He isn't tall enough to tower and intimidate anybody. Huerter is a liability on defense cause he isn't strong enough and also slow at defensive reaction. That's why Mike Brown can't afford to have him on the court in crunch time despite needing him to score.

So I met a Dubs friend at a bar near where kiddo's flag football game was played today and watched the game off social media and without any volume, and also half watched the Bruins game on the tv next to the one showing the game. Consequently I had my own take that there were a few plays near the basket that should have drawn fouls, but no evidence to feel salty about officiating until I get online after the game and twitter says refs jobbed us.

If that's true, I really do think we go back to getting more calls in Sac. Fox may have just proved himself to be the next superstar if the league allows it. I don't know why the league wouldn't want to go all in on a kid that plays like Fox does but also seems humble and unlikely to embarrass the league or its sponsors the way Ja did.
