Yea, there is a talent deficit.
This is why you can't haphazardly go around not considering fit when you clearly have a player or players that stand above the others on your squad. As Fox clearly does. If you aren't prepared to build around a player like the one you have, you have to move them. It's that simple. Karl tried to get Cuz moved for that very reason. In the end he was right because the league was about to make sure a player like that regardless of the individual productivity would be limited. Look at Jokic. Denver has to build a precise team around him to win otherwise these modern teams like the Warriors, Celts, Suns, Heat, etc. will just simply pick and roll him into oblivion. The Nuggz might beat 2-3 teams in a best of 7 like that but 4 is a stretch and almost purely luck that they don't hit those open shots. He needs 2 more superstuds around him or a brick wall of defense and versatility. And that's the freaking MVP we're talking about.

Players’ league. There is a real argument that the best coaches are in college.

Tyrone Lue won a championship. Dude is an assistant now. Doesn’t get any love for HC positions.
Avery Johnson has a better resume than Jackson or Brown. Dude is unemployed.
Ben Howland is 10x more capable than Brown or Jackson, but he’d get Sprewelled within 6 months.
Lue is the Clippers coach.

To win the whole thing yes, to make the playoffs no he could carry any trash to the playoff like he did this year where their #2 and #3 best and highest paid players were out. Denver has never had squads to win the whole thing and that's because they pissed away massive money on the corpse of Milsap and the likes of Aaron Gordan and injury prone guys like Porter.

Ty Lue is the HC of the Clippers and had one of the more impressive seasons imo with them missing PG and Kawhi for most of the season.

He had MPJ last year and in the 2nd when they came up against another modern team in the Suns he got bounced like a rubber ball too. Murray would help for sure, but this is another Dirk all over again right now. The point is if you aren't a very limited stock of players you have to take weaknesses into consideration as a team. The Mavs finally did and Dirk got 1 ring out of it. Yes, Fox is likely in that category right now as well. If the answer is to get one of those very limited types well, good luck because you're right there with 26-28 other teams.

Nah, it sure seems like they are waiting for something. I just really hope it's not for Jackson/Lakers to disconnect. That would just look sad as all **** for the Kings, lol.
