That has to be our answer
Jackson is perfect for the Lakers and I don't say that just because I think he's terrible. But I also say that because I think he's terrible.
It’s wild out on the internet
I mean, was a wildly successful, no, but he did put together a dominant Pistons team which won a championship and dominated much of the eastern conference for 4-5 years. I wouldn't call him a complete failure as a GM. Yeah he wasnt always successful but how many GMs have that history?
Serious question for Jackson fans here. What is the legit reason he hasnt been hired in 8 years since he was let go from golden state? Im not knocking him im just trying to get an honest viewpoint
I only want him because I’d expect a trainwreck. With Brown I just expect to be bad, but in a boring way.

Pretty much this. With Jackson, it’ll be fun. One way or another, something is burning. With Brown, meh, outside of riding Lebron’s coattails, dude hasn’t done sh*t. Kings are going to continue to suck unless Fox transforms himself or gets traded.

With Jackson it might be one of those things where it's such a bad fit it actually works somehow, like for example when a guy banks in a 3 point shot because he missed so badly. For pure entertainment purposes Jackson is the one, I will say this if the Kings put together another crappie roster than yeah bring in Jackson anything can happened. But yeah with Brown it will be more of the Corbin/Malone first season type crap....I only want him because I’d expect a trainwreck. With Brown I just expect to be bad, but in a boring way.
It would be, but Monte kind of made sense of the mess he created with his trades, keep making sense. Transforms himself into what? We saw the problem last year. No question. The garbage you saw at the beginning of the year was misuse. That debate is over. Now if Fox/Sabonis can't get this team to the next level NO COACH is going to change it. However, a coach that want's to turn that hammer into screwdriver yet again, will yet again get the same results. This is a talent league and a game where substitutions and crunch time management from a coach matter. However, when a coach doesn't play to the strengths of his best talent you might as well not even put on those jerseys unless your team is deep like an all star squad so it's almost impossible to F it up. Even the best coaches are on the lower end of the conversation when it comes to responsibility for winning, but oh boy, can they **** up your chances to do so when they go all "genius" on you. Kings fans know this better than anyone since the Adelman days.

Misuse = a limited player, who can only play one way.
1. Play defense for more than 5% of a game.
2. Move the ball rather than ball stop whenever it reaches him.
3. Hit his free throws throughout and especially during crunch time.
4. Hit the three at more than a 36% rate.
5. Play at whatever pace is necessary to win that game rather than go 120 miles an hour.
6. Win.
That's not actually what the word misuse means, but go on with your bad self.
Misuse has indeed been a problem with coaching - the Kings (and yes, even Fox) had success when roles were defined and players had expectations of what/when do to. Malone/Joerger knew that. Walton? Please.
Means that the mole has been identified and neutralized.Thoughts on the fact that it has been really quiet since Brown’s interview on Thursday?
This may have been posted already, but I found an article summarizing some of Mike Brown's coaching experience. He seems like a good dude. I mainly know him as the head coach of the Cavs before Lebron left for Miami but he was also on the Pacers staff during the big 'Malice at the Palace' brawl and was one of the coaches trying to pull Ron Artest out of the stands. He briefly coached Kobe (and Ron again) on the Lakers, he worked under Popovich for 3 years and was there when the Duncan/Parker/Ginobili trio won their first championship, he coached a championship winning Warriors team through most of the 2017 playoffs while Steve Kerr was out with back issues, and he even had our old friend Mike Malone as one of his assistants for 5 years in Cleveland.
His teams have not been standouts in offensive efficiency but he's a defensive specialist and disciplinarian, has been part of two different championship winning teams in the NBA, and seems to develop good relationships with his players. Having actually taken the time to dig into his history more, I'm on board if he's the guy. Not many coaches can say they've worked with Duncan, Lebron, Kobe, and Steph. That's arguably the 4 best NBA players of the last 20 years.
I think it might actually work for them. That or it will be a disaster like we have never seen and make Doc's lapses lately look like a walk in the park. If it does work it makes that race in the west that much tighter. LeBron has been known to take a year off, he's not the type to run head first into a cement wall since he has always been more head than heart. If he and AD come back healthy and invigorated they'll be back in the hunt.
Walton played with or coached: Shaq, Kobe, Lebron, Steph, Draymond, Klay…doesn’t mean anything. Cosched under or with Phil Jackson and Steve Kerr. Has probably been around Jerry West, over the last 20 yrs, more than 99.99% of the people in this world—from getting drafted by West, playing almost his entire career under West, and coaching while West was at GSW. All of that means absolutely nothing. Walton has not performed as a HC.
So maybe Brown’s experiences will translate. Or maybe not. Whether it is Jackson or Brown, i think theyre both doomed. Unless a certain key player decides to play winning ball or the new coach convinces the middle manager to trade that key player for assets that will lead to winning ball.

That “bacon” can also be a distraction from the dish. I don’t like bacon on my burgers because the bacon flavor is too dominate and overpowers the burger itself.
