In their case, then, it would make more sense for them not to renounce their cap holds/exceptions, and just use the $8.6 million MLE instead of trying to get under the cap for $4.6 million.

Bucks now up to 13 guaranteed, at $111M with Brandon Jennings. That’s $13M under $123.7M tax line. Clearing Teletovic’s $3.5M after 11/7 would drop it $16M under. With Bucks hard-capped at $129.8M apron (Ilyasova contract), highest they can match/pay Jabari Parker is about $16M.

Yeah thats why i said crp because i realized they still have MLE. They still need backul pg, so they either split MLE or find players to take minimum.

Knicks also want Amir Johnson (and theyre not the only team after him). Johnson has scheduled meetings with clippers and lakers today

What im saying is knicks dont have a lot of wiggle room.

With Cap holds on the Knicks would be in Luxury Tax area, wouldn't the Tax Payer MLE be their max contract offer at $5.4 million?

I don't get Knicks interest , They already have Lance Thomas,Kevin Knox at sf? Does Hezonja want to compete with them?
Maybe knicks want him at PF until Porzingis returns . I thought Knicks only want to give 1 year contracts to preserve cap space

Hey Mario! we have starting SF spot ready for you with consistant minutes, 10 mil vs 8.6, multi yr, Peja and Bogie both here
Why you meeting with Knicks instead of us?

Knicks had beasley at pf with porzingis out.
They lost jarrett jack, beasley, o'Quinn
Drafted knox as combo forward

Who knows what theyre thinking

Hezonja is better off playing with a wing like Knox than playing with a traditional pf. He gets to be defended by the worse wing defender and operate in more space. Can also defend the the lesser offensive wing. Also Knicks most likely will view KP as mostly center, or atleast they should.

Doesnt mean that I dont want him, but I can see why the Knicks would try to get him.

Good point -- I revise my previous comment, as they clearly should renounce enough FAs to get under the tax, but since the MLE counts against them until the renounce it, renouncing the MLE to get under the cap would be counterproductive since they could only open a little over half as much cap room as would be provided by the MLE.

At this number Parker starts becoming interesting especially if you think Bagley can defend the 3

cuz they're located in New York and we are in Sacramento

The Kings should give Mario a 24-48 hour time frame.

Give him their best offer (i.e. 3 years 27 mil?) and tell him that we have some salary dump options (i.e. Denver's Wilson Chandler for salary dump) from other teams for draft picks and if he doesn't take our offer ASAP, we may take the salary dump trades and there won't be any salary cap left to sign him to a lucrative contract.

If Mario waits too long, the salary cap money is going to dry up very soon all around the league.
