I'm not really sure what there is to "despise" here...
LMA isn't an efficient scorer, and there is a reason why he started to trade some long 2's for 3's last year (and was more effective because of it), is PPP is 1.07 for a 3 and 0.83 for a midrange shot.
It doesn't mean he should never take them- but you can't make a claim it's efficient to take a lot of them.
And it's not like Cousins is a fantastic midrange shooter- he was 37.9% from midrange last year, which is the same as shooting 25% from 3.
Anyway, I don't see a reason to get Cousins further away from the basket.

its not resisting math. It's just changed basketball for the worse. When bogut gave up a dunk in the finals for a corner 3 I was throwing stuff at the tv. Did shaq need a 3? Neither does cuz. The only reason he's out there is analytics. Conventional basketball wisdom until the stat nerds would never ever put your center out at the 3 line.
I'd like to see the corner 3 eliminated completely. Take it away.
It's an interesting claim that Aldridge isn't an efficient scorer. Not so sure that holds up. If so, the supposedly analytic heavy Spurs sure made a mistake.
Also I think Cuz should be in the post the majority of time. He doesn't want to though. My point is if he's not going to be inside I'd rather see a good shooting percentage of 10-16 foot jumpers than him shooting 10% or less from 3.
