Can't really force people to guard you with somebody. Why they often say what position you play depends on what you defend. because on offense they could guard Cuz with Bogut, or Green, or Curry for that matter.

Now if we twin tower Koufos/Boogie then its cute, but the matchup will end up being Bogut on Boogie and then Koufos on Green, and we'd have to get more from Koufos against the little guy than they got from Green against the lumbering guy.

Why the two true Twin Tower teams got the name because they had 2 HOFers, two great offensive weapons. Then you have the true torture box. A 20pt scorer jsut got matched up against your weaker frontcourt defender. Have fun.
Ah, but we've also got WCS a big guy who is also fast enough to guard Green.

The sudden versatility of the team is a wonder to behold. I mean, last season we once had Reggie Evans and Carl Landry as our starting big men.

This is actually really disappointing news to me. I thought Luc could be a very important role player as a 3/4 defender.

So now what? Kevin Seraphin and Darrell Arthur are still out there. So is Josh Smith. Maybe Jeff Withey as an emergency C and one of those guys as a scoring/defensive PF? Maybe Quincy Acy as he could potentially guard 3's and 4's?

Yeah I don't know. Heard we didn't use the ML on Casspi though so I think we only have 2 mil left.

Well, the Kings would have caproom equal to Mbah a Moute's deal (assuming it wasn't for the league minimum), they'd have the Room Exception and then of course veteran minimum contracts.

So conceivably they could sign Jeff Withey with Mbah a Moute's money, sign Darrell Arthur with the room exception and then Andre Miller for the veteran minimum.

Of course, they may also still have the chance to sign Mbah a Moute to a new unguaranteed contract that could be voided in case of injury or something along those lines.

I'm also disappointed with this, but I don't think we need another backup c. Counting Cousins, we have three talented seven footers on the roster, plus Moreland. I mean, we still have no excuse to play small ball.

I would like Josh Smith but not sure we have enough cap space for him.

I think Darrell Arthur or Glen Davis may be a good possibility.

I think it depends on who starts. If Karl chooses to start Cousins and Koufos then WCS and Moreland are the team's only backup bigs. IMO the Kings need another big so they can bring Cauley-Stein along slowly and so that Moreland isn't depended upon for real minutes. So in my mind I'd like to see another veteran PF (or SF/PF combo) and another veteran C.

But I'd be really happy with Dorell Wright and Kevin Seraphin.

Apparently JSmoove just reached a deal with the Clippers. I'm not a Big Baby fan but Arthur is one of the best bigs left on a quickly evaporating market.

If we (stupidly) didn't use the Room Exception on Casspi, we have $2,651,015 in cap space while still having a Room Exception.

So instead of having the flexibility to spend all $4.9 mil of our cap space on one player, we hamstrung ourselves and we now can only acquire players who are willing to take a $2.6 mil or $2.8 mil (RE) payday.

Withey is a decent guy, I'd rather have Moute, but Withey is about as cheap as it gets for a big body in the way and basic rim protection.
