What did he say? I never heard anything of it
He accused Luc Richard Mbah a Moute while a King of faking injury (or I suppose to be more precise, of refusing to play with extremely minor injuries that any other player would play through) in order to receive his nice fat check so he could buy fancy suits to sit on the sideline in.

It was a truly ugly moment in sports "journalism" in a podcast riddled with errors and nasty insinuations.

Hmmm..this is very interesting. At wings we may have

Gay/McLemore/Belinelli/Casspi/Butler/ Mbah a Moute

Or if you break it down

SF- Gay/Casspi/Luc
SG- McLemore/Belinelli/Butler(more of a SG than Luc is)

I kinda feel like Luc and Butler cross each other out...meaning it's either one or the other. Not both.. But eh, happy to have both.

I feel like the need now goes to PF. Vlade not done yet.

Huh, weird. I've always seen Moute as a real pro and a classy sportsman

Mbah a Moute has spent about half his career playing smallball PF, he's really more of a 3/4 than a 2/3. If we get him I suspect he and Casspi may eat a lot of PF minutes. Doesn't make me joyous, but they have that versatility.

Oh I crap... I hope they never see time at PF this season.... especially Casspi. Guy can barely guard SFs..if even. Luc at PF is more manageable than Casspi. I think he'll be be good for our small ball lineups. I have a very hard time imagining Luc going up against PFs in the West.. the only one I can think of is Draymond Green on the top of my head. boooooooooooo. boooooooo small ball

Wow another day in the life of a Kings Fan. And another Free Agent prospect:)

I really enjoyed watching Luc Mbah a Moute play defense in his previous short stint as a King. That game when he shut down Chris Paul was classic.

I wonder if Klay Thompson can score 37 in a quarter with Luc Mbah a Moute checking him?;)

C'mon Luc Mbah a Moute! Join the Kings:)

Unless you're trying to experiment with gimmicks, this is the kind of roster balance that guys who understand the NBA game will try to piece together. What's literally amazing, is how quickly Vlade has put this puzzle together. This is bordering on a heroic effort
I'm surprised at how he was able to master the nuances and complexities of a salary cap.

If Luc's role is a spot lock-down defender, and he wants to do it, then hooray. This is shaping up as the best Kings roster I've seen since the best of the Adelman years. I'm as hype for the season as DeMarcus is.

Now if only DMC and Karl could shake hands and get along we will be playoff bound. But I'm worried about Karl. Did anyone else watching the SL game think 'ol George looked awful lonely? Not such a good look he would normally be a focal point for attention and he was just off in a corner while Vlade, Cuz, Malone got all the camera time. And I think we really need Karl on his A game this year.

Yeah, that moment of the podcast caught me off guard as well. Are there any posts/threads that catalog the errors throughout the podcast? I'd like to know what else was incorrect that I may have took for truth.

I was not a fan of D'Alessandro's during his tenure as the Kings GM but that whole podcast just felt like a hatchet piece. Ham has never been a guy that I felt had a lot of insider knowledge so I wonder how much of it was third or fourth hand or just speculation.

What they said about Mbah a Moute didn't jibe with what I watched when he played with the Kings. He seemed engaged and effective in his role. A role by the way, that Karl loved having Andre Iguodala in while he was coaching in Denver.

I don't know of any post that has gone into all of the details to catalog the errors. I considered doing it at one point, but then it just seemed like it was late enough in coming (I was on vacation when the podcast was released) that I never bothered.

There are quite a few small errors that I caught. The biggest problem is that the situation with Omri did not go down the way Ham described. In brief, he claimed we waited until the end of summer to sign Omri so his min-value contract would pro-rate and that it cost Omri money. But the CBA doesn't work like that - min-value contracts don't start pro-rating until the first day of the regular season. (We DID save money, because we took advantage of a clause in the CBA that has the NBA cover some of the contract, but Omri got the same amount.)

Also, his insinuation (not sure he ever stated it as fact) that after IT went down and Malone needed a backup PG that PDA instead gave us Royce White has the timeline wrong. White was already on the team on a 10-day when IT went down, and as soon as possible PDA signed Jared Cunningham for the rest of the season.

Anyway, as Funky said, it was a pretty big hatchet piece - I wouldn't take much in it at face value that can't be confirmed elsewhere.
