Malone fired

I hope Corbin plays the team his own way or whatever he and Malone had going in spite of the recent firing. Then blasts off to a crazy record and sends the team the championships ala SUMMER LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP 2014 B~TCHES!!!

He'll still be fired though.

Would it matter? They'd catch him farting in a corner some where and fire him for the release of toxic gasses into the atmosphere.

I changed my avatar to say "Maloofed" but as i type this, i'm wondering.. is it too early to start calling it "Viveked" ?
If they have a vision I'd wait for it to sink or swim first. There are a lot of assumptions about things right now with no real basis at the moment. Maybe we are all jumping the gun about what they truly mean.

This has to be the oddest firing in the NBA in many many years.

The Kings show signs of relevancy for the first time in forever, and our management responds by firing the coach? Firing the coach? Not praising him for the clear improvment overall? Wtf?

Lack of player development? How about Cousins? Rudy? DC? All putting up career best numbers. Ben. He even has JT making an impact.

That play with Nik, was that Malone trying to please his bosses by "developing" Nik? Was a suggestion made by the FO to put Nik in that kind of situation? I now wonder, that's for sure. Was he told to give Nik crunch time experience?

So he couldn't turn that turd dwill into anything? Who could?

If pda is listening, he's about to see he badly misread the situation. Fans were upset at the losing, angry even, frustrated, but no one was calling to fire the coach. No one with a clue what they were talking about anyway. The reaction here seems to be almost completely shock, not happiness.

The day when the internet trolls rule the world is upon us. God help us all.

When your ownership acts like impulsive fans, you're in real trouble. Vivek might hear some boo birds Tuesday if he shows his face.

The honeymoon is over.

Kingster

Hall of Famer
Lets be real here, they were as shocked as anyone that this team was winning games. That mantra of winning games coming into the year was the ground work for a coaching change.
And if that were in fact the case, why didn't they just fire him at the end of last year and go out and hire a new coach then? Questions, questions.

I remember when we said Vivek was trying to make the Kings into warriors 2.0, some members here strongly defended him saying that wasn't the case. Do we need anymore proof now?

Breaking news on our site just a few minuets ago!! we have apparently fired our coach... who would have known!!

Slightly late guys.

Fitting it would come after one of the most amateurish pressers ever filmed on an iphone 2. I've been meaning to bring this up for a while, but one thing about the Maloofs you couldn't complain about was the quality production they put together. Now the Kings games use the same sh*t canned music as any other sports net team, they continuously fail to break back in from commercial breaks on time, and the video packages are garbage.

Vivek wants to play like the Warriors, but unfortunately for him, our best player by far is a low post bully that doesn't shoot 3s. Has Vivek checked with his computer to see how Boogie would fit into this run and gun bombs away offense?

If the Maloofs didn't blow their money, they would be better and more likable owners.

And that is the question. My speculation: Malone didn't want to do the idiotic stuff that Vivek and PDA wanted. Maybe they asked him to do just one more thing that he couldn't in good conscience do. That's the philosophical difference.

My guess is after watching Josh Smith have a good game against the Kings, Pete and Vivek wanted to offer a lot of assets for him.

Malone said "Helllllll no!" Thats when Pete decided their philosophies were too different.

it was petrie doing the drafting not the feral possum
Surely, you don't think that the guy writing the checks have no input in who the team drafts or trades for, do you?

Watch the war room video of the most recent draft when Vivek basically imposes his decision onto the rest of the room to make it look like a unanimous one. This happens with Jim Buss/Kupchak also as it does with probably every team.
