you are stuck on IT. His style of play was a problem. He was eliminated. That was fine. Failing to fix the team's other problems is however kinda inexcusable and I think this front office just that quick could sink itself with irrational love for its first two failed acquisitions in Landry and McLemore. The sad thing is that I can't even tell if we are just playing dis-interested or if we are really that bad. I'm really starting to think this is just a terrible basketball team. After hearing how you will treat this like a regular season game etc. etc. The performance tonight was absolutely abysmal, but again we could really be just that bad. I would have expected to beat this D-League squad by 15 to 20 points easily.

To be fair, we were leading by 1 right before Rudy got injured. We didn't have him for the entire 2nd half where things fell apart.

Exactly people acting like malone has a choice if he did Evans/Luc would still be here. Roster is a joke with no direction we got a good coach raved by everyone including elite players like cp3/lebron and the gm put crap around him. Don't blame malone it's on PDA.

They only reached out when I signed my deal so I mean I had a feeling, I kind of knew I wasn't coming back. Other than coming back for Mike Malone, I didn't think nobody really wanted me, like they wanted Darren Collison. Not like that, but I mean, they picked Darren Collison the second day of free agency. He's a good player; I hope the best for him and the Sacramento Kings, honestly.

I would be fine with IT leaving if the two positions that gave us nothing last season were upgraded. In theory downgrade PG to a more facilitating type but upgrade SG and PF so it balances out. Instead you downgrade PG to a more facilitating type(who also isn't a very good defender) and keep SG and PF the same, so the same positions that gave you nothing last season are still the same, but instead they are getting more shots this year and their crapiness is highlighted even more. Also Gay now becomes your clear second guy and more of a facilitator, which he is terrible at because his instinct is to chuck. So now we have the Toronto Gay, Cousins, a downgraded indifferent PG and the same crap at SG and PF. That is PDA's fault.

"They" seemed like it was refereed to Gay and Cuz. "Nobody" means his teammates. The question was asking if his teammates kept in touch with him during the off season.

I think what we saw tonight is a preview of Byron Scott's Lakers. Byron is a hard nosed guy and his teams play that way.

Sessions played a lot of SG last season. Nik Stauskas is a pretty good prospect at SG. Its hard to spin something positive out of the PF position.........Eric Moreland?

This was just one pre-season game THAT THE KINGS WON. Back away from the ledge

All that said I do think we Kings fans are in for a rough first half of the season. We better enjoy this little win and the small victories along the way.

We have a team that is not very good right now. Hopefully e I'll use these first games of he season to tighten up and make some hard choices and improve as a group, as a team.

I'm trying to think of a way out of this roster. I know everyone thinks trading Ben will fix everything, but I think it's more complicated than that. After the Webber trade, we've been waiting for that one magic move but it doesnt happen that way. A foundation has to be played. There are too many inconsistencies and contradictions in PDA's approach to building this roster.

Passing on Lopez could be Pete's undoing. I'm not sure PDA is the one to fix this team. A rookie owner, rookie head coach and rookie GM is not a good combo.

He butted heads with a Laker as they both went for the ball. Ben was bleeding pretty bad like most head wounds do. i suspect a few stitches and a handful of games off to watch for concussion should be about right. Rudy was hit in the same area where he was hit while playing Lithuania. He did not play after the elbow from Randle.

Hopefully neither injury is serious and both are back playing soon.
